Well, there is not a lack of talent on this team. Jeter's first couple of seasons featured a roster deplete of talent. Guys like Charlie Swiggett, Sam Mauldin, Kaylan Anderson, Roman Gentry and Kevin Massiah were nowhere near as talented as guys like Ja'Rob McCallum, Kyle Kelm, Lonnie Boga and Ryan Allen. However, the inconsistency hasn't really improved at all in the last three seasons. Milwaukee was 9-22 back in 2007 because they weren't any good. The've hovered at or a little above .500 the past few years because for every good game they play, they mail it in the next. The only consistent factor has been the coaching staff. Rosters have been overhauled, but the inconsistency on the floor remains. That points to Jeter. So expect another 8-10 win season in the HL and a conference semi-final exit, barring any type of turnaround.
Wonderful.

I think "Mr. Basketball" of one of the Dakotas, Paige Paulsen was on one if not both of those teams. It just wasn't fun to be down at the Cell during those years. I've been a season ticket holder for 12 years, and I think last night was one of the worst, if not the worst effort I've witnessed by a Panther team. The loss to Parkside was difficult to stomach, but at least that was an exhibition game. Just a few positives from last night...my boys loved the Panthers bobbleheads. Its always great to chat with Jimmy, and I also think the male students at UWM are extremely lucky if the dance team is an accurate representation of the co-eds on campus. Lots of tradegy out here in the Slinger area this past week....so lets just say it was good sitting at the game with my sons last night....win or lose, but man Panthers...give us some effort!!!

I'm wondering if at some point you simply put the best five guys out on the court from the start. In my book that means Kyle Kelm starts and doesn't waste time on the bench. It's early in the season, but from what I see Kelm provides consistently good play and appears to have a good basketball IQ. I would also like to see Ryan Allen get more minutes. Allen appears a little raw, but he is by far the most athletic player we have and will need more minutes to get into the flow of the offense. Allen is one of the few players we have who can truly create his own offense. Souter needs more minutes to see what he can do. It seemed that Souter played within himself and didn't try to press himself too much.

Last night I had a choice of taking some free Bucks tickets or attending the Panther Game. I picked the Panthers because it was a conference game against a good opponent. I wish I hadn't.
This is the second time this season we've played so poorly. First it was Western Michigan and now Cleveland State. Don't get me wrong, CSU is a very good team. I was impressed with their quickness and shooting accuracy, but there's no excuse to lose like this to a conference opponent.
I don't know what the problem is, but I do know we should look and play better. We looked like we were MSOE playing Duke out there. Tentative shots, and passes, sloppy ball handling, poor shooting. It was pathetic.

Special thanks to my Badger-fan friends for this one:
"Sounds like Milwaukee got 'Cornelled.' "

Not sure how you got sarcasm out of buppie's post, uwmfansince1997. You may want to take a deep breath before your next comment. For the record, "+1" means that someone AGREES WITH YOU. And he was complimenting both Andrew and Nicholas, not ripping on them. I actually took a deep breath and apologize for the comment. Just read it thru so fast, I forgot I was on a UWM forum and not CSU. Once again my apologies buppies.

I was just expressing my gratitude for the sponsors who do deserve a better performance on the court. I was impressed by the T-shirts that said MILWAUKEE with the panthers logo, sponsored by Andrew, that I got at the Western Michigan game. I was also very pleased with the bobble sponsored by Nicholas from the CSU game. I would have made mention of the cool black T-shirts from Hupy law offices, but at least we gave them a quality half vs. Marquette so it didn't fit with what I was saying. The only difference between being in the stands vs. CSU a couple nights ago, and watching a game from our 9-22 season was that we had more fans in the stands for the 9-22 season. It was before the fans were affected by years of inconsistent play.
