Pathetic. Don't get me wrong, Cleveland St played phenomenally, but when there is NO pressure on the outside, this is going to happen. Thought about doing a Madison and/or Chicago road trip. Now? Hahahahaha.

Left the Cell thoroughly disgusted with 12 minutes left.
I remember when we used to treat teams like that. It's as if we have never practiced for a press. Our guards are so casual with the ball. Not only do we not have a back up point guard we don't have a starting point guard.
At least the bobble head is a keeper!

Looks like I picked a good era to miss. Terrible.
Mcdade, I am disappointed you stayed that long! It was over at the 1:00 minute mark of the first half.

You bet I would have been out of there much sooner. And yes, this game was over within the first few possessions. It was obvious one team was faster, more aggressive, and ready to play.

Fun to compare coaching staffs and their reaction to the game. Show me you care!

If they can consistently come close to shooting like they did tonight, Cleveland State is legitimately one of the 15 best teams in the nation. They can slaughter Butler, more than once.
Players I was impressed with tonight:
Tony Meier. Hit his shots.
Ryan Allen: When he finally got in, he scored 7 points in 11 minutes.
Christian Wolf: He needs more game action, because he was a beast on the boards and got to the line well. Didn't hurt that Cleveland's defensive strategy was to hack and see what happened. He also showed pretty good vision with a couple nice passes.
Patrick Souter: Dare I say it, but he's a complete offensive player now that he's found a jump shot. Exceptional vision, tremendous speed and athleticism, made some ridiculous passes. Handled the offense very well. Might be our best option to start games if Williams is badly injured.

One thing you notice is who's on the other side of this game: WISCONSIN. Who was on the other side of the Western Michigan game? MARQUETTE. I don't think it's a fluke that our two worst performances this year were predecessors to our in-state games.

3 of those guys only saw garbage minutes when CSU didnt care much. I'm not too impressed with Williams so far but if Souter is to get started minutes we are really in trouble.

Why would this team look past a conference opponent that is going to contend for a top spot in the league. If we looked past them then I am even more concerned about the staff than I already am.

Cleveland State played a full-court press to within a minute to play. It's easier to say that it was against Cleveland's backups than it is to say Cleveland was acting like they were playing garbage time, because they didn't. As for Souter, were you watching the game? He was magnificent.

This team has a bad habit of assuming they'll win games and then playing like sh*t. See: Portland, Western Michigan, Cleveland State. I think they were overconfident about this game, assumed they'd win it, and starting thinking forward. Because they've done it before.

Yeah, I did watch the game and no one was magnificent. Tony played well and almost everyone else played like crap.
I think its pretty safe to say that right now we are at best an average team with some talent that most night plays below its ability. CSU is a good team with a good coach that made the team look really bad on our home court.

Games like tonight do NOTHING to convince fans and students that don't go to games that they are missing a good product out there. In fact, they make drawing fans to games even more difficult. Absolutely disgusted right now.
