Here's one for you: Marquette had 21 rebounds. In the game. UWM outrebounded them 31-21 and 9-2.

Aside from the non-call on Jimmy Butler against Ja' Rob McCallum with 5:31 left, I thought the officials tonight were extraordinary. They can come back anytime in place of the H League refs.
Of course, if it wasn't for that one call and the resultant five-point swing ...

Oh and kudos to Rob for finally having a 9 man rotation. Please make it 8 and stop playing Ajami. Thanks.

I thought there were some incredibly questionable calls (2-3... I can't remember each individually, my head is still spinning.....) in the final 5 minutes that absolutely shifted the game unnecessarily to MU's advantage. No excuses though. MU wasn't at their best, and we failed to fully exploit that and assert ourselves.
We did play fairly well.
I't feels bitter but strangely good to be pissed about a loss like this. As ghostofdylan posted earlier- Evansville of the MVC beat Butler... AT HINKEL.
We are in a frustrating 3-4 hole. I never thought this team would have 4 losses at this point in the season. But I think we might just dig our way out and not look back. Great experience was gained in this game. We should never "play to our opponents level". Just play. Kick ass. Take names.
Repeat.

I, on the other hand, thought 3-4 was altogether possible given the schedule. However, I didn't think we would play as poorly as we did against Portland or Western Michigan. Instead, I thought that the Niagara game after the 3,000-mile trek would be too much to handle.
Tonight, I feel a good kind of frustration, the kind you feel after a hard-fought battle against a more athletic team that may not have been at its best, but certainly didn't play poorly. Guys, please take note that this isn't the Golden Eagles of Lazar, Jerel, Wesley and Dominic.

First off, I still thought this was a great momentum builder for the Panthers, making it a CLOSE game against a formerly dominant rival.
Second, aside from Johnson-Odom, who was INSANE, the Eagles had only one other player in double digit points. The Panthers had 4 and nearly 5. A great team effort!
Third, even though it wasn't a sell-out, getting 7,000 to a game just days after Thanksgiving is nothing to sneeze at in my opinion. Glad to see that we student fans made great noise at the end...a great game despite losing and I hope that everyone else will see that and hope the team carries the good from this game with them the rest of the way!

I want Ajami at the point whenever Williams is not on the floor.
I like Ja'Rob, but he makes me nervous whenever he puts the ball on the floor.

Believe me, we all should want Ja' Rob on the wing because he's such a lethal streak shooter.
Tonight, he was the third-best player on the floor. Maybe the fourth-best, after DJO, Ant and Tony.

I just want to say that I really, really like Buzz Williams, who came over and chatted up the student section before the game. Only other coach I can remember doing that was Homer Drew, and we all know what a great guy he is. Marquette has come a long way since the days of the Tan Man.

Buzz is a damn good coach and a good man. And Marquette is a damn good program. That's that for the time being. I just hope we can beat them one of these years... Goes without saying, but to MU- RENEW THE CONTRACT. For the fans, please.

"Please make it eight and stop playing Ajami."
If you want to see Ja' Rob on the wing, you've got to have Jerard in the game to spell Kaylon at the point. Nine minutes seems about right.

Just got back. Very good game and the guys should be proud. I really like Marquette now too; Buzz is a classy guy.
I'm disgusted by the UWM fan turnout. The students that bothered to show up did a fine job, but I'm so sick of the lack of support for this team.

Had a dream about the game...but the game was over too fast and I didn't know what the outcome is...now I HAVE to come to the game...think it will realistically be Marquette, 75-71. holy sh*t!
