I don't know who Tyler Dunne is, but that was an excellent game article. We rarely get an article that good from our own beat writers.

Some of the old hands in the JS sports department will soon let him know that that level of sports journalism will not be tolerated in covering the Panthers.

It says "Special to the Journal Sentinel". I don't believe he actually works for the JS.
I looked him up, he seems to cover Syracuse. Maybe he just writes about other games in the area for a little extra money or something??

I thought the same thing Fran. Very well written with information that we haven't necessarily heard of before. Refreshing...

No, 'Heap.
That's likely a freelancer from a local newspaper like the Buffalo News or the Niagara Gazette.

It's not unusual for a newspaper, if it doesn't send its own reporters to cover an event, to run a story written by a non-employee, under the "Special to the" byline.
If he was a JS employee, my earlier snarky comment would apply.

A change in the lineup has been made after last night:
PANTHERfan is benched from attending future road games until further notice. PantherLou has taken his spot in the lineup.

Now let's not be so hasty. I was probably just in a funk after all that Portland rain. Hopefully I can turn my fandom around this Saturday.

You know what's even more impressive about Meier's play?
34 minutes, 1 personal foul.

And it's not like he was playing tentative, at least it didn't sound that way from what I could get out of the radio call. The refs didn't seem too shy about blowing that whistle last night either.
Hopefully this was his "coming out party" and we're in for a big year from Tony.

I was impressed by that as well, but much of that had to do with the fact that he stood on the arc for most of the game... However, I did see him go hard after a few rebounds.
