Game 4 vs. Niagara Purple Eagles Date: Wednesday Nov. 17, 2010 Location: John J. "Taps" Gallagher Center Niagara Falls, NY Time: 6:00 pm CT TV: No TV Radio: 1130 WISN www.newstalk1130.com/main.htmlInternet: None Live Chat: www.PantherU.comD-Board: Like last season...I found 2 www.nuforums.netau.net/index.php www.voy.com/25499/ Sorry about not posting one for the UC-Davis game..I worked all weekend. Thank to mupanther. Anywho. Can we all say it together..."Free Throws". The Panthers once again shot poorly from the stripe. Hopefully a long flight will help. Who knows. This will be the end of the Panthers ridiculous opening road trip. The Panthers will return home on Saturday November 20th to the US Cellular Arena to take on Northern Iowa. 7pm Tip Time Last time out. Sophomore Lonnie Boga sparked this team with a Double-Double in the first half vs. UC-Davis giving the Panthers a much needed W 73-62. (BTW I can't wait to Lonnie and Shaq play together). The Panthers should have a tough game in the Falls, as the Purple Eagles beat the Panther in the Bracketbuster at the US Cell last season and it is the season opening and home opening for Niagara.

Thanks, DunneDeal.
This would be great if the Panthers can pull out a win.
I read that the flight takes them from Portland to Atlanta, Atlanta to Buffalo. This will seem like no big deal that they went to Italy.

Is the plane big/tall enough so they can shoot free throws on it? Maybe they can set up a garbage can in the middle of the aisle and do nothing but throw balled-up pieces of paper into it. Either that or the in-flight movie can be a tutorial on free throw shooting.

Ooooh, you can just feel the depression emanating from this board these past 3 days.. All is not lost!! I was really, really, really, REALLY bummed about the FAU loss... we totally gave that one away, but we'll turn it around (and fast than you think). That is... if we can shoot at least 65% of our FTs and be allowed by the refs to post-up under the hoop! The fact that we could very easily be 2-1 even playing as badly as we did over the weekend (for the first two games at least) I think is a positive. We are capable of sweeping that Tournament if the cylinders start hitting... Let's get back to .500 out East this Wednesday! WAR MILWAUKEE!!!! I'm told that the team was given a mental break from shooting today and that many of its members read this board, so here goes:
YOU WILL MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS YOU WILL MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS YOU WILL MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS YOU WILL MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS ...
YOU WILL GIVE 110 PERCENT AT ALL TIMES YOU WILL GIVE 110 PERCENT AT ALL TIMES ...
ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES DYLAN A LITTLE DAFT.

I like the positive reinforcement Dylan. On paper this looks like a game we stand a good chance of winning should things start clicking. Plus I won't be at this game, which could be a good thing --- they lost the two I saw in Portland, maybe it's me I'd feel much better about this team coming home 2-2 for it's big home opener against Northern Iowa. Go get 'em Wednesday night!

I'll be at the game - and its a well known fact that I am better luck than PANTHERfan, so... that's worth something, right?
I was in Toronto all weekend, and was only able to follow the games online. I'm looking forward to seeing some real action.

Its early. We have a deeper and more talented squad. Not discouraged. We need to get a bit better on transition defense also but the first game was one of those nights, the second a weird free throw thing but improvement and the third a win. Very early and not at all discouraged. It ain't how you start its how you finish.

The transition defense problem was terribly exacerbated by the fact that we were simply playing too fast and rushing shots, partly because we dug holes for ourselves. The natural consequence of that is breakout opportunities for the other team. You have to trust the coaching and the plan, even when you are behind. Maybe especially when you're behind. It's incumbent on Kaylon to manage the pace. That's not to say you don't look for the advantage by moving quickly downcourt on offense -- but you squander that advantage if you take a hurried shot.

Everything clicks this game for our Panthers.
Come home 2-2, with a 6-point win tonight.
