For anyone as old as me, he's the son of former Texas Tech star Darvin Ham, a/k/a Darvin "Ham Slamwich".

I'm glad we're back at the Cell on Saturday night. I get my front row center seats back instead of the crummy seats I was put in at the KC.

What was our team ft % tonight? 61%, but hurt by Ajami's 1-4 performance. The vast majority of our trips to the line netted us at least 1 point.

Let me amend that then. Dunk attempts in general = stupid. It was a good win but, this statement is just dumb. A dunk is the HIGHEST PERCENTAGE SHOT in the game of basketball.

A dunk attempt is generally one of the lowest percentage shots near the basket in college basketball. As I have explained repeatedly it is one of the most easily defended shots in college. Dunks essentially only happen successfully when the dunker is literally undefended, either by diving past the defense with a quick pass (generally from the high post), on a breakaway, or on an alley oop which the other team does not get a man up to contest. In almost every other circumstance (for example, nearly every circumstance in which we have tried it this year), a layup attempt or no shot attempt at all (in other words, work for a better shot) is the much smarter play.
So far this year (including the exhibition games) I believe our dunk attempt percentage is hovering around the 15% mark.
