Wow, DunneDeal. You're brilliant. Having known Mr. Lemke for 5+ years, and having worked with him, I can honestly say with absolute certainty that you are horribly wrong. All Mr. Lemke has EVER wanted is to further UWM Athletics and he would do whatever was necessary to do so. If someone isn't doing their best to put UWM athletics on the map, I imagine he'd probably speak up about that. In fact, I'm quite certain he has. "Self-serving" as far as Mr. Lemke is concerned is not a phrase to be used. Perhaps you should try talking directly to Mr. Lemke about it, instead of snarking it up on here.

Enough the know the difference between "your" and "you're". ;D Also, no matter where Tommy Dunne got the information, still...ridiculous for anyone to say all that about Jimmy.

Grammar aside...:
It's Kyle Duerstein. His current post matches up so much it's not even funny:
KyleDuerstein - Apr 22, 2010 6:59 PM ยป Report abuse 0 0 Click thumb to rate 0 0 Please login to rate This is all still pure speculation. No one is putting their name to the information they're providing because they too are speculating. The information just plain isn't out there yet, and it's irresponsible to jump to conclusions based on rumors propagated by student fans that you call a "source familiar with the Athletic Department" and members of the Athletic Department that don't really know the truth either.

I've got a few things in mind. Personally, I want to embarrass him in the strongest way possible. As if he got caught with his pants around his ankles f***ing a chicken.

As I posted at the time, I was NOT in favor of hiring Koonce due to his lack of management experience and job hopping. Nonetheless I was hoping that he would succeed. It's sad to see that he hasn't and it's doubtful he will get the chance to do so in the future.
UWM hired an AD without the needed management experience and hoped his ability to raise a ton of cash would make up for his lack of management expertise. They wanted and needed an AD. They got a cheerleader.
Cheer leading is only part of the job. If the rest of the job isn't done right, no amount of cheer leading will help.
Hadiet's comment that Koonce never contacted him for "tips or guidance." is really telling. Only a very arrogant or very foolish and very inexperienced person would fail to ask for information, get the history of situations, find out where people are coming from, who has what agenda etc.
I don't think the U wouldn't put one of it's most public employees on administrative leave due to petty politics. Keep in mind that people who hired Koonce look bad if he doesn't succeed. They wouldn't have done this unless there were some pretty serious accusations and they were pretty convinced those accusations were true. The term "a personnel matter" is pretty broad. It can include everything from misconduct, and misrepresentation to insubordination.
One thing it would NOT include is a disagreement about firing coaches.
We can speculate on what went on but the truth is that we may never know what really happened. Some things do appear to be clear, Koonce will not be back and he shouldn't have been hired in the first place.
I wish him well, and success in his next job.

Man... just read Dunne Deal this morning....how wrong can a person be both about Jimmy and Kathy?? No two more self-less dedicated fine people who are not out for themselves and love UWM, have best of intentions....this is just unbelievable....

Personally, that was my favorite part: that I'm a fan not of the Panthers but for myself, for my own personal gain.
Yeah, that's why I drove with 7 other Krazies to South Bend, Indiana to watch women's soccer play MSU in the tourney.
That's why the Green Bay game I missed at home this season was the first home game I've missed since the conference tournament semi-finals in 2005.
That's why I'm on this board constantly, why I've tailgated at soccer, basketball, baseball and TRACK games. I'm only in it for personal gain.
Right.
