Agree Fletcher is their top guy but also with sub par performances from Perine and Cotton, it just was compounded

Fletcher is my front runner for POY.
Guys, you are looking too deep into GB's loss. This was a very typical pmck let down after a thrilling victory. I think they did this twice after beating us during our peak years.

Guys, don't shortchange Oakland's Keith Benson, who had 23 points, 18 rebounds and six blocks against the Phoenix. The 6-foot-11, 230-pound junior is one of my Super Six big men in the country along with Art Parakhouski of Radford, Omar Samhan of St. Mary's, Jerome Jordan of Tulsa, Cole Aldrich of Kansas and Greg Monroe of Georgetown.

Fletcher is the straw for them, but still, this had letdown written all over it. Oakland is a credible team, and in all likelihood GB won't play another game this year as well as they played against the Badgers.

I think all three of these things are self-evident truths:
1, The Phoenix sorely missed Rahmon Fletcher's ability to penetrate and draw the defense. 2, Oakland's Keith Benson is a game-changing force in the paint. 3, As has become its habit, GB was flat after another in a series of "program-changing" wins.

Hopefully this latest GB loss puts to rest all the talk of "program-changing" wins. Let's face it, it takes a lot to change the perception and reality of programs. One win certainly does not do that. It was simply one good W.
We learned GB has a pretty good team that sorely misses Rahmon Fletcher. We may have also learned pmck is a better coach than most of us gave credit. We also were reminded what an arrogant douche he is with his post-game comments.

Pantherfan, are you suggesting that Oakland (Mich.) isn't better than Duke?

not to get too far off topic, but i agree about benson, dylan...if he adds a little more weight you can remove the "against fellow mid-majors"

You know, he had 21 and 11 against Michigan State and 20 and 8 against No. 1 Kansas, so I've modified my original statement.

WOW...didn't realize that...the badger bigs (and i suppose Hughes' driving ability) neutralized him pretty easily

yeah...that's why i included hughes...benson fouled him 2 or 3 times (including both of the early ones) while he was driving to the hoop
