Anderson has a lot of work ahead of him. he's one of those you offer now and hope he continues to improve, transferring should help.
I've heard good things about Kelm but Rank is the real deal (according to those I've talked to). Obviously these guys have a lot of time left but Rank right now seems to be the better player.

www.wissports.net/wishoops/courtside/featureArticle.asp?fid=4&nid=14293Marquette, Wisconsin Latest To Extend Scholarship Offers To Evan Anderson 4/30/2007 - Wisconsin Sports Network By Mark Miller Wishoops.net Editor Ritchie Davis has been a busy man of late. The 15U coach of the Wisconsin Playground Warriors AAU program has fielded phone calls from coaches from all over the country, many in regards to 6-foot-11 freshman Evan Anderson. Monday morning was no different for Davis as he received calls from both Tom Crean at Marquette and Bo Ryan at Wisconsin pertaining to Anderson, a highly touted big man who played last season at Stanley-Boyd but plans to transfer to Eau Claire North for his sophomore season. Crean and Ryan both officially offered a scholarship to ever-improving Anderson today. Marquette and Wisconsin join Northern Iowa, Portland, UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee in the sweepstakes for Anderson, who is also attracting significant recruiting interest from the likes of Arizona and Kansas. “Evan is playing with a lot more confidence right now,” Davis said. “His offensive skills have shown a lot of progression. He’s always been a defensive standout, but his offense has really picked up of late. “He has something like 19 dunks in our 20 games this spring. He had four dunks in one game this past weekend.” Anderson has led the Wisconsin Playground Warriors 15U squad to a 15-5 record, including a 3-1 mark in Akron, Ohio, last weekend in the King James Classic. Ranked No. 2 among state prospects in the class of 2010 by Wishoops.net, Anderson packs 235 pounds on his 6-11 frame and does a good job of running the court, looking for his teammates and finishing around the basket. But make no mistake, his No. 1 forte right now is his intimidating presence on defense. Anderson earned second-team all-league honors as a freshman when he averaged 12 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for a Stanley-Boyd squad that went 12-9 overall and 8-6 in the Eastern Division of the Cloverbelt Conference. Anderson and his AAU teammates will compete in the Spiece Run-N-Slam Classic this weekend in Indiana before taking part in the 16U division of the Wisconsin State AAU Tournament the following weekend in the Milwaukee area.

Well, I hate to say this, but...probably don't have a chance at him anymore, if he turns out to be decent at all.
Not with those kinds of big name schools calling now.

I don't think we should be so pessmistic. There are many reasons why a good recruit would chose a quality school like UWM over those others.

There is no reason a 6'11" post player with a pulse chooses UWM. Evan Anderson will not play here, nor will Jamil Wilson.

There is no reason a 6'11" post player with a pulse chooses UWM. Evan Anderson will not play here, nor will Jamil Wilson. While I agree neither Anderson nor Wilson will end up here (unless their play plateaus dramatically), saying a 6-11 guy w/ a pulse would never play here is simply untrue. We could've easily landed Dorlack but to say we lost interest in him is a drastic understatement. Man is he lucky to be going to a D1 school.

Dorlack = no pulse. Guys who are a legit 6'9" and over will not come here unless they have a growth spurt after signing with us. That's how Joel Cornette got to be that size for Butler. UWM has had tall guys who can play such as Page and Angeli, but they were both closer to 6'7" than their 6'9" listings. That's fine for college ball to be a post player at that height or shorter (Flowers), but the legit size guys who can play are a ways off.

Interest in Rank, Gasser intensifies
By Mark Miller Wishoops.net Editor
After a strong showing on the travel team circuit in July, Cedarburg sophomore forward Chip Rank continues to draw recruiting interest from a number of NCAA Division I programs.
Currently ranked No. 8 among state prospects in the class of 2010 by Wishoops.net, the 6-foot-6 Rank has scholarship offers from both UW-Milwaukee and North Dakota State, as well as strong recent interest from both UW-Green Bay and William & Mary.
In addition, the University of Wisconsin continues to monitor Rank’s progress and remains at least somewhat interested in the rugged frontcourt player.
“Chip can score in a lot of different ways,” said Tyler Selk, Rank’s coach on the Wisconsin Swing Red U-15 travel team. “From 15 feet on in, he’s very consistent.”
Rank averaged 7.2 points per game as a freshman for a Cedarburg squad that went 14-9. He then had a strong showing for the Swing Red during the spring and summer while playing alongside Kyle Kelm of Randolph, Josh Gasser of Port Washington and Evan Richard of Cuba City, among others.
“Physically, Chip is very developed,” Selk said. “His determination and drive are unbelievable for a kid his age. The other kids really look up to Chip.
“He needs to develop a little more explosiveness to go along with his strength, but I think that will happen because of his intense determination.”
Meanwhile, the 6-2 Gasser spent part of Monday taking an unofficial visit to Milwaukee, which offered the long and skilled point guard a scholarship last month.
In addition to the offer from the Panthers, Gasser is receiving interest from North Dakota State, UW-Green Bay and William & Mary.
Ranked No. 9 among state prospects in the class of 2010 by Wishoops.net, Gasser played a huge role in helping Port Washington to a runner-up finish at the Division 2 state tournament last March.
“Josh is a true point guard,” Selk said. “He rebounds and he defends very well for a point guard. His basketball I.Q. is through the roof. He’s a very smart kid who understands the game very well.”
