After today's win, I'm so excited I can hardly wait for the Detroit game to start. Here's a link to the Titan's basketball page - detroittitans.com/mbasketball.jspThe Panthers have shown they can play with anyone in the league at home, but the Titans have some serious talent in Cotton, Covile, Bell, Goode and Hayes along with a coaching staff that really appears to prepare well for the games and work hard on the bench. Do you think the Panthers can pull off the win in Detroit?

Why not? I didn't think they had a chance to win today. Detroit has to be feeling good about themselves after beating UIC in Chicago. You know they'll be up for the Panthers after losing here in OT. If the Panthers play the way they did today, and catch a few more breaks...they've got a great chance. It would be a huge win, and another confidence builder for the young team. It'll be interesting to see if Jeter can get them ready, and if the team executes. Whether or not they win against Detroit, some of the missing atmosphere should be back in the Cell next Saturday against GB. Did they even have 500 people in the Cell today? The place looked empty, but I'm sure the snow and football games hurt attendance.

I hate to say this but I would have to pick Detroit on the road UWM hasn't shown it can beat anybody on the road this year that isn't a terrible college basketball team

I think there was at least 1,500 people in attendance- you're right though- now that the team has shown they can play against pretty much anybody in the Horizon and CAN actually win games, the fans need to show some more support and pack the Cell like it should be EVERY HOME GAME. (for as few people as were there (today and at other games this and last year), I am still amazed at how loud we can make that place!!). UWM has some of the best fans (the die hard ones...) around. Students really need to start filling out the student section now that they've come back for the Spring Semester- but then again I guess, if you win (and continue to win), they will come...

No kidding about the student section! Don't get me wrong, I like the elbow room and all after 3+ years of jam-packed student sections, but geez, it's starting to get lonely down there... I'm sure it'll slowly build back up starting with this Saturday's ESPN game vs UWGB.

Students are back yet? I remember starting the day after MLK, Jr. day. The old Arena should be shaking on Saturday.

Yep, classes start this week, so Saturday afternoon's game vs UWGB will be the first one with students back.

It would be nice to see at least a few hundred students in attendance, especially given that UWM is winning again, and it's against UWGB.

Regarding Detroit, though, they can certainly beat them, but any HL game on the road is rough.

And it's on national TV, so is a reflection of the program and student interest in the Panthers. Let's all be committed to getting more bodies in the house for this important rivalry game.

Good call, Dylanrocks. I completely forgot that game was on ESPN2. A win on national TV would be really good.

The Detroit game will be tough. Remember out trip there last year? We came back from being down by 11 with 3 minutes to go to win by 1 (thanks to some missed Titan Free Throws). I'm sure they'll remember it too.
We can win but we will have to bring our A game there to do it.

Calihan Hall is always a tough place to get a win. UWM will have to be on their game, for sure.
I think if UWM can contain Goode, Bell and Cotton on the perimeter...they'll be ok. And if they can keep Coville off the glass, they'll have an even better shot at a 'W'.
What kind of worries me is the fact that they have to play AT Detroit on Thursday night and then again on Sat. afternoon in a big rivalry game. I hope the guys can handle the quick turn around.
Go Panthers!

Go Panthers! BTB that's a good observation about the quick turn around in games from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon. Obviously the game that this situation will have the biggest impact on is the GB game but at least its at home, and if we come out sluggish, the home fans can will this team on to victory.
