Folks, mark your calendars. The poor man's coach k is coming to The Cell in a few short weeks, Saturday, January 27 to be exact.
I'm looking forward to pantherholic dusting off his sign about Tillema and freak showing up and taunting the poor man like the good old days.
But seriously...this game is on ESPN2 and will probably be our only chance for a bigger audience all year. These kind of games are like a two hour commercial/recruiting video for our school. It would be nice to have 5,000 fans and more than 7 students to welcome the poor man. I assume steps are being taken on and off campus already to get people to this game (I guy can dream can't he?).
GB will bring some fans. They'll be the ones in UW, MU, and Packer gear in case you were wondering. An few GB fans will actually sport a red and green satin UWGB jacket...ugh. With the poor man's emphasis on recruiting in the area you can bet there will be more fans for GB than in the past.
All joking aside, let's get the word out about this game and get some butts in the seats - 5,000 is my goal. We've had good energy in the building as of late and 5,000 is not out of the question.
