We have Wisconsin-Milw in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday night. What can you tell me about your team? I know very little about your team and would appreciate any help you can provide.

We're not good. We don't have the talent to make up for our inexperience. I don't know much about Central Michigan and I'm not a betting man, but if I were to bet I would place it on Central Michigan.

Central Michigan has a new coach and a new system. We also have the same five starters that won only four games last year - that can be good or bad news depending on your poinit of view. We are playing just about everyone on the roaster in different combinations. We have some big men but they don't see much playing time and we have little game in the low post. I think we are a little better than we were last year but it may be too early to tell for sure. We hung with Cincinnati at Cincinnati pretty well in our last game but ended up losing by 10.
I'm a little surprised by UWM's record so far this season. I thought you were a tournament team last year and I was expecting you to be tough this season as well.
It should be an interesting game but with the little I know about UWM I will pick Central Michigan to pull this one out mostly because the game is in Mt. Plasant. If we were playing in Milw. I would probably go the other way.

We were a tourney team last year but we lost all of our starters and most of our teams total experience.
We have one of the most inexperienced teams in D-1 ball right now.

Actually, I think that the Panthers have played better on the road than at home. The coaches believe that this team feeds off a more energetic environment and we have gotten that at both Michigan and Northern Iowa. What is the crowd at CMU like?

First of all, we play in a place called Rose Arena. It seats a little over 5,000. We have not done a lot of winning in the past couple of years and interest in our program has dropped off. My wife and I have had season tickets for years but she dropped out this year. She said Rose looked like a high school gym and the team was no good. I still make it over for all home games. I think a good crowd for this game would be 2,000 so there isn't going to be much of a big time atmosphere for your team to feed off in this game. However, I will say the few fans that do show up can really get into the game at times and in our small place it can get pretty loud. We are supposed to get a new basketball arena one of these years or a makeover of Rose. This has been talked about for some time but no one knows when it will actually happen. Unfortunately, we have one of the oldest and smalled arenas in the MAC. Our football facilities are first class but we are behind much of our league members when it comes to basketball facilities.

Ok, I really enjoy the radio broadcasts, but I am having a hard time with the "friend of the program."

Ryan Thornton needs to see the court. Period. This team lacks a scoring threat, and he can offer some looks that most players on this team can't, or won't to be more correct. The game seems to roll along quicker when he is in the game.

Well the radio comes back, and with 1:30 left, they are down 11. Need some quick scores. Jeter got T'd up, and Paige Paulsen just fouled out.
