unreal...this is getting embarrassing. No offense to Central Michigan, but there's no reason why we shouldn't beat them even if we had 5 starting freshman.

I don't even know if 10 wins is realistic anymore. This is absolutely horrible.

15-2 run will get you greatness...
I'll tell you what, I don't know what kind of experience losing game after game will give these guys. They still haven't seemed to put it together and I wonder if they will this year?
Dude, Milwaukee is going to be in ESPN's rankings for one of the worst teams in the country!
wow, 15 point loss to a team that won, four games last year? LOL

terrible loss. Central Michigan is not a good team.
i hate to say it but this team is seriously bad. they have no consistent scoring threat, get in early foul trouble, shoot a bad free throw percentage, etc, etc... it's just as frustrating to listen to as it is to watch.
that said, i'm still behind this team 100%. it's going to be a loooong year but i still believe we'll see some progress. just can't believe they got this bad this fast. guess that's the hangover effect of losing a coach and his recruits.

after seeing how this team is, I think RJ is going to need two more years of recruiting to get the team the way he wants it.
I think a lot of UWM fans were hoping these freshmen would mimic Marquette's 2005 recruiting class. Unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen.

This team is really bad. I take back my 10 wins projection. We'll be lucky to get that many.
Still... the guards are getting experience. Clearly they have talent but just cant finish their shots, yet. Add in next years class and a great bunch of redshirts and we'll be back in the post season.
We wont be down long. As I've said all along... expect BIG things in 07-08.

they're at least two years away from being a decent team. unless Torre proves to be that big of a game changer, i wouldn't expect a miracle turn around next year. that's not to say it can't happen... this current team, in particular the freshman just need to get much better in a short period of time.

I agree with freak...
It should get better down the stretch, but in the meantime with games against Oakland, Missouri State and Wisconsin... yeesh I don't even want to think about it.
Right now, I'd simply settle with the team looking solid in the last 5 or 6 games of the season.

geez, you know we've really fallen off the map when we're worried about the Oakland game!

Oakland's actually a good team.
I'd say it's more pathetic that I see us losing to YSU at home.

This young team is missing an Evanashko or Novak that Marquette and Green Bay had. Its that simple. No good senior leadership, no extremely talented vet to lead them. If we had Tigert or even McCoy back, we'd be winning against Tenn. Tech and Central Michigan.
Next year we get James and Johnson, plus a ton of talented freshmen. Things will be much, much, much better.

I have lost faith in this team. I just don't see many positives. I'm not really sure if the play is due to inexperience anymore, or if it is just that we lack talent. I don't understand. I am not sure if these young guys are any good. don't seem to be. I don't like Jeter either. I can't understand his coaching and substitutions.
I think it will take 2 years for UWM to be competative in the HL

We simply cant close out games, and its due to lack of experience. I still have high hopes of the team being much better during conference play. We arent gonna be champs, im just asking for better than 7th. I think the team we have now could do so with a little more improvement. Also I'm looking forward to seeing Kevin Massiah shine a little bit this year I'm still behind the team 100% GO PANTHERS!!!! ....cant wait for 07-08

I think Jeter needs to shake the lineup some more. I was a huge Franklin fan coming into the year but he just has yet to do anything to justify him being in the starting lineup at this point. I'm not really sure what I would do right now if I were coach of this team but I think my lineup and depth would look something like this:
PG - Swiggett; Al SG - Smith; Franklin SF - Gentry; Thornton PF - Paulsen; Skinner C - Mauldin; well we dont have anyone
I think this would give us a bit more size and I really think if Gentry go some more mintues he would open his game up more.
I just dont know what to expect anymore from this team after the last two games. I thought they were headed in the right direction after the Michigan game but that clearly is not the case. I really hope that the losses in nonconference does not kill the confidence of the team come conference play.
Maybe getting more than 20 students in the student section will help with home games going forward.

I am 100% a fan still too.
But I don't understand the starters either
I say go with the guys that have produced and play the experienced guys. I don't understand why Franklin and swiggett start. Like I said all along. start 2 guards, a center, and 2 forwards.
to me that means starting Massiah because of his consistent play and experience (the guy is a senior!), Paulsen because he is experienced and a junior, Mauldin because he is an experienced junior with size to play in the paint, Big shot Al because he has the most experience at guard with this offence to be the court leader, and Avery Smith because he is a true shooting guard that can give you energy.
