I just wanted to pull this from the other thread regarding attendance for the game on Friday. Someone mentioned there would be no more than 7500 at the game. I thought this was a bit high and just to try and get a better handle on what it might be I went to ticketmaster to see what kind of tickets I could get. I found 4 in a row in sec. 205 row 4. This tells me we should not expect more than 6000 unless the students bring it real strong and there are a bunch of walkups for the game. The good news is there is no bucks game Friday night.
Saturday and Sunday dont look much better since Saturday is a bucks game and we all know what is going on Sunday. I think we need to try our best to get some friends out for these games and show the team some early support.

The packer game and while I know its at noon, most people will likely watch that game and then do whatever else they need to do that day after which will make it a tough draw for a evening game for Milwuakee. Maybe I will be way off on this but I would guess Sunday will the the lightest crowd of the weekend which is sad because I think its the best game of the three.

I strongly encourage everyone to pick up the phone and call 10 people who have shown interest in Milwaukee basketball in the past.
Friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Let's all pitch in to do our best to get as many people as possible to the cell this weekend!

every day of this tourney is important. i hope to see a very large and energized student section for the first game of the season this friday.
we need to come out strong in this game. Radford looks like a team we should beat but you never know. a win friday will go a long way towards instilling some confidence in a very young squad. like Lou said, rally everyone you know down to the Cell for 3 fun days of bball.

Also, someone in the student section get the "Rob-bie Je-ter" chant going when they introduce him at the beginning of games.
With these commitments the last few weeks, he deserves it.
I would, but I don't think it would sound right coming from one person in section 324.

so anyone care to wager a guess on tonight's attendance? or the whole weekend for that matter... i'm a little concerned about the complete lack of advertisement. even on crappy local news last night they all previewed MU's snoozefest against cupcake U and neglected to mention we're opening the season with a three day tourney.
i'm going to guess 5,000 or so tonight. i'd like to see more than that but it's probably a pipe dream. i'm just hoping for a very large and rowdy student turnout. are they adverstising on campus?

We averaged over 5000 last year. I hope we can top that for a tourney. There will definitely be fans from the other schools.

The D-list was giving away tickets this morning, so that's at least something.
Plus, they did a direct mail piece that was sent out this week.
Other than that, I have no idea. I sure hope we can get 15,000 for the weekend. As a last reminder - pick up the phone and call anyone and everyone, and remind them about the games!

What a great game. The freshmen stepped up. BIG things in the future. Cant wait to mix the freshmen with our redshirts and incoming recruits. The future has never been brighter....
