If we get Flowers and/or Johnson, I think it's safe to say we will field the deepest and most "talented" team we have ever had here at UWM...What do you guys think?

Deepest, no. Talented, maybe.

Black Panther, what team do you think was deeper? I dont think its even close, and many on this board agree with me. 07-08 will easily be the deepest team we have ever had. Chris Hill only had Al Hansen as his back-up. We will be 4-5 deep at the guard, and Al wont be near the top. These new guards are big kids too, 6'0"-6'3".

Deepest, yes. Most talented, without a doubt.
As I've said before, next year's team has the potential to be in the top-25 and the best ever (or yet? ;D).

Is anyone happier than I am about the return of freak? All is right with the world. And yes, that will be the deepest team that we've ever had. I love the idea of 10-11 interchangable players able to press for 40 minutes!
Not saying that's gonna happen, but a man can dream. Or penguin.

Even without Flowers & Johnson... I think we can still make the arguement that 07-08 will be both the deepest & most talented team ever.
With the both of them, it's a no-brainer!

If we press for 40 minutes, the game with UAB is gonna be rediculous.

HELLO? ??!!!!!!!!! MOST OF THESE PLAYERS HAVE NOT EVEN PLAYED A SINGLE GAME YET. AND TOP 25? How can you say that you will have a deeper and more talented team next year than a team that has just taken you past the 1st round of the tourney two years in a row and was easily regarded as the deepest team in the HL? I'm sure many of you have been waiting for me to say this, but I won't be coming around here too much anymore. The amount of cheese that i read on this board is too much for me to handle. This has gone from one of the best boards in the HL to one of the worst. I mean, I'd be in denial too if I were in your shoes, but you guys have taken it to a whole new level. I'll be back sometime during the middle of the season to see if your attitude has changed to something more realistic....

Penguin,
I'm wearing that hat to every game this year. Since you sit behind me, I hope it blocks your view.

Hey Big D we're talking about the "POTENTIAL" for next year to be the most talented and deepest...when we say most talented...that doesn't always translate to wins and success. Relax..we don't think we're better than the rest of the horizon league, but we that IS our goal...

besides....I hate saying this, but you're kinda nice to have around this board once and awhile...you bring pretty good arguments and you aren't USUALLY offensive about it. And who else do we have to tear into?...I dont even wanna waste my time on the MU junk that's being posted...

Big D,
Many UWM supporters, especially those that have been fans for 8+ years, recognize the level of recruit Jeter is bringing to UWM. These players are higher touted than players we've signed in the past. Plus, we had the benefit of seven scholarships to give after our remarkable runs. Lots of kids wanted to play here, we filled these openings with solid talent.
You remember Chris Hill, correct? Nothing against Hill, but now we wouldn't take him over Roberts, Franklin, Swiggett, or Gentry. Hill was not highly recruited, nor did he receive any awards. We are bringing in guards that have "Player of the Year" in their accolades. These guys were getting looks, or even originally signed, with solid programs. Six of these guys could start on ANY of our previous teams, the rest are far better than any of our former bench players. Tulsa's former starting point guard will be our 3-4 sub. OKLAHOMA STATE's THIRD HIGHEST SCORER IS A WALK ON!
Remember, Jeter was the main recruiter at Wisconsin. He's following his old connections to get kids that previously would not come to UWM.
We dont expect an NIT or NCAA visit this year. What you will see play is a bunch of freshman, and only half of the equation. Next year we add the missing pieces and will make another run.
In recruiting, we have taken things up a notch. Let's see if Rob can get these guys to gel. If so, its not looking good for the rest of the conference. 07-08 is looking black and gold.

I respect your opinion freak, but I expect at least and NIT berth and possibly NCAA. I refuse to lower my expectations just because it is a rebuilding year, I hope they come out and the shock the league.
