I can understand now why so many SEC fans hate the Gators. A 22 point lead with 3 minutes left and you leave in your starters all of whom apparently feel that going for the 3 with lots of time left on the shot clock is called for. Winning isn't enough? Humilation is the order of the day? They won. Who cares how many they won by? Would you rather have someone come back against them as many have? Don't be sore over the loss. Florida will go far.

guys..relax we have 8 scholarship players who can play and 3 walkon. 3 of the starters were already on the bench with foul trouble. So billy delayed substiuting with the walkons tille the llast minute!....No hard feelings guys, we dont have the depth to substitute the whole starting line-up!

That's garbage. You had 24 point lead less than four minutes to go and he didn't take out his big starters until 1:18 left in the game. That's really classless. You can't tell me that your subs would have finished the game with less than 12 to 18 point win.

I think some people are overreacting to how Florida won. IMO they did nothing wrong. He's not pulling in all the scrubs with 3 minutes left in the Tourney. Hell we wouldn't do that in a regular season game against Yuck State.

Actually we did that several times this year. A tourney game makes not a whit a difference. They were up by 24 with four minutes to go and trying to nail threes with less than 10 clicks off the shot clock.
What gets me is that our Seniors who played their hearts for this school leave the court with that kind of crushing defeat. No way with that kind of lead and less than four to go does Florida lose. It was tasteless and classless.

Milwsport, I have to agree with the posters who think that Florida did nothing wrong with leaving the starters in late in the game. I am sure you will think differently about this issue tomorrow after the disappointment over Milwaukee's loss will have lessened a bit.

Actually I won't. I've always felt this way. You got the game won and that's enough.
It reminds me of an interview I heard with Majerus this week. They were talking about who was going to win and he predicted a win for some coach that he said he doesn't like for doing that to him. There's no excuse for humliating people.

On this matter I think a coach thinks the game is never over until the final, plus keep in mind Florida is used to losing in the first two rounds so this is something the coach hasn't had to do very often.
UWM got smoked the final score didn't matter Florida played very well and UWM didn't play well at all, it's a bummer but I think that when it's all said and done they can be very satisfied w/this season and hopefully we'll all be here talking about it again next year.

Milwsport, I don't like it either, I just think it's not a big deal, that's how I feel about it. I remember a few years ago Tom Izzo was insanely upset at Bo Ryan about an emphatic Wisconsin dunk when the game was already decided in Wisconsin's favour. All what it did is making him look like a sore looser.

Being too sensitive man...nobody calls off the dogs with 4 minutes left in the tournament. The ending today takes nothing away from UWM's seniors - I doubt any coach/player on UWM even thought twice about Florida being "classless" - and not many teams would have beaten Florida today - all four of those sophs will be first round draft picks. Finally, the reason the SEC hates Florida is because we beat them all the time at everything. 18 straight SEC all-sport championships creates a little jealousy. ;D

18 straight SEC all-sport championships creates a little jealousy. ;D As we should be aware of here at UWM ... well on our way to a third straight Horizon League All-Sports Championship and fourth in six years. Conference champs so far: Men's Soccer (tournament) Women's Soccer (regular season and tournament) Women's Volleyball (regular season) Men's Basketball (regular season and tournament) Women's Basketball (regular season and tournament) Men's Indoor Track & Field Women's Indoor Track & Field Continued success in ALL sports will improved UWM's resume in case of a potential upward conference jump.

Our team has had a tendency to make stupid mistakes in the final few minutes where we blew leads and lost games. Billy D. just wanted to ensure the win. We were told the same thing after the first Kentucky game, leaving our starters in was a horribly classless thing to do, even though UK still had ALL of their starters in and could have come back for the win. We won by a lot today, but your team is still very good. I think it is more of a compliment that we didn't want to take a chance that ya'll could come back and win, which in basketball especially is always possible. Four minutes can be an eternity.

Are you kidding me? Some people are actually upset that Florida left a few players in there at the end?
That sounds like grade school Soccer Mom whining to me. "Oh, everyone has to feel good about themselves and no one should be made to feel bad. Everyone has to feel like they are a winner. That's Bu-ll Sh-it, feel good, looser talk.
This is the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Win or go home. You take no prisoners and you can't worry about hurting another teams feelings at this point in the season. You play hard 'till that final buzzer sounds. I don't care if you're up by 1 or 100, you don't let up ever, till the officials tell you, "game over get your butt off the court".
Frankly I'm one of those people who think you never let up on anything 'till it's over. At that point you can look up at the score and say, "wow, we really beat them by that much".
We got beat. We didn't play well. Florida did play well or at least played like they play, I don't know which. Doesn't matter. Accept it, stop your whining about it, and get over it people.
Appriciate how far this program has come in the past 4 years and be proud of it.

Wait, maybe we should let up a bit, we don't want to embarrass anyone....... Florida beat us, no way around it. They didn't do anything classless or unsportsmanlike......they just beat us (good). I don't remember anyone from the board complaining when we thumped GB early in the year........that is just the way some things go.

Florida, congrats...you guys played a whale of a game. Noah impressed me to no ends...he can do it all. We got toasted on the inside, and you shut down Tucker and Boo...something not too many teams have been able to do this year.
We didn't play a very good game, but you guys were clearly the better team. Congrats, and good luck the rest of the way.
Complaining about them still having starters in near the end of the game is merely crybaby stuff people. Let up. This isn't about egos, it's about moving onto the next round. I would have done the same if I were Donovan.
