Pretty much all of it came when Joah was on the bench. What a great way to finish. This was the kind of ending I was expecting in GB on saturday. I'll take an 11 pt. comeback though ;D

WOW. if we pull this out it'll be wonderful. Did this run start before or after Joah fouled out? It was right at the beginning I think UWM was down 7 when Joah fouled out.

Big D was outstanding no doubt the MVP, but what a comeback down the stretch! We won with 40% shooting and 4-16 from beyond the arc... oh well. Go Panthers!!

Maybe Big D should be playing more in crunch time . His 10-10 from the line is pretty much what saved us tonight. MVP for sure.

How about Derrick Ford? 10 for 10 from the line? MVP of this game.

This is what winning ball clubs are supposed to do. Hopefully this finish shows what we are made of.

As the old adage goes...
Good teams know how to win ugly.
That couldn't be more evident tonight. Giving up 10 offensive rebounds, missing 10 free throws and only shooting 4-16 from 3-point land, yet coming away with a victory. Grinding it out indeed.
This win is huge, and also may have huge implications for this team. I may be getting ahead of things, but it sure seemed to me like RJ's confidence in some guys has changed. First, no Pancratz in the second half, with Nick Hansen getting significant minutes. Also, Al Hanson has definitely played his way into the rotation. His three, followed by a steal and assist to Joah were huge.
Speaking of Joah, has there been any more disappointing of a player in recent Panther history? I know, he's averaging almost 17 points per game, but he has become a complete liability towards the end of the game. Missed free throws, idiotic plays, lack of hustle and simply just a complete disregard for the game and RJ's system. I think the fact we pulled this out with him on the bench is indicative of where this team stands. He is not a leader because he is really the only one not buying into the system.
Notice Chris Hill and Boo posting up? Now that's the swing offense - all parts interchangeable.
But, a win's a win. I'll take them on the road any way I can get them.
PS - Avery's shot is complete garbage. He might just be shooting under 25% for the season now. The Sidewinder indeed. Thank god he plays decent (not great) defense.

I think the play of the game was Allan Hanson's three to pull within 7 w/ about 3 minutes left. We forced TO on the inbounds and scored again right away. We're never out of it with the pressure defense!!!

I think this a little harsh. He had bad games last season too, for example he had zero points against Detroit in the league home opener last year. Most of us tend to measure him against his performance in the dance last year and that's a pretty high mark to measure against. I wish he would stick to his game, though.

Joah has been playing bad for the past 5 games. Why, as a fan, do I feel nervous every time Joah touches the ball? Isn't he suppose to be our (so called) best player? When he averages 2-3 travels a game, leads the team in turnovers, and can't shoot free throws for anything, he almost seems like a liability at the end of a basketball game.
Joah needs to step back, and relax...It seems like he thinks he has to do everything himself. I truely believe that Joah should come off the bench in one of the upcoming games. To let the flow of the game come to him, instead of trying to set the flow himself!
On a positive note....holy Allan Hanson..he is really coming around, has shown alot of confidence from behind the arch
The wright state board is already talking about their up and coming road trip to UWGB and UWM...they are predicting a sweep....WE DON'T LOSE AT HOME!!!! Lets get a big crowd out there on saturday and bring home a 10-15 pt victory!

D ford comming through tonight with 14 is absolutely huge! i cant begin to say how clutch his free throw shooting was. these horizon league refs are giving me heart burn, hard fouls not called, pussy fouls called some of those travels are questionable too. the only thing they are consistent at is being crappy. i cant wait for wright state this weekend students are back and we need to blow the roof off the cell.

"Predicting a sweep" may be a little strong.
Statements such as, "can win both games," and "looking for a sweep" (my statement) don't actually mean it is expected -- do-able, but not "predicted." I think you guys will agree that the Panthers aren't exactly the team they were last year, at least not at this time, so a win against them is not totally out of the question. I think it will be a good game, but I really think the outcome of the Raiders game against UWGB tomorrow will have a big psychological impact. Either way, should make for an exciting game on Saturday.
