By no means am I trying to overlook the Detroit game, because it is obviously an important one, but the Wright State game this Saturday is HUGE!
Two wins this week will go a long way towards ensuring the tournament will be here in Milwaukee.

yeah, it's a big week for sure. gotta get past Detroit first. i don't care how down that team is right now... they will be very UP for this game wednesday!
if GB can help us out thursday with Wright State and we take care of business, then saturday becomes a pivotal early conference game.

I'm in Green Bay until the end of break, so I will be attending the Wright St/UWGB game on thursday. It's going to be really hard to pull for UWGB after Saturday's game, but I know it must be done. UWGB beat Wright State on a buzzer beater by Evanochko at the Resch last year so this should be another good game.

Every game is a huge game...Hell even YSU has been playing better this year
There are no games especially on the road that we can afford to overlook
Relax peeps....The tourney will be in Milwaukee for the fourth straight year, so dont sweat it...WE will win conference
Sheesh one conference loss and everyone gets frantic

It's not the one loss that disturbs me, it's the collapse at about the 12 to 14 minute mark three games in a row.

I (another Raider fan) beg to differ from Big DWSU, in that I think WSU has the guns, I just don't know if they can all fire at the same time. I have the same hope, though that they can at least split the trip to Wisconsin one way or another. Although they haven't played the upper tier HL teams yet, the Raiders have started to show some good patience on offense, and play pretty tenacious defense. I don't know how our inside game will do against you guys, but I think that will be a (the?) key to the game. Since we don't usually hit lots of threes, we'll have to score in the paint, and hope that Wood can hit his running jumpers in the lane. That said, if we don't hit some outside shots, I believe the game will become more lopsided in your favor. I'm hoping for a close contest.

looks like we might get both wishes tonight. GB up 8 with under 4 to go on Wright St and Loyola up 4 with on Butler with about the same.

I attended the Wright State/ UWGB game tonight, and Wright State was far from impressive. Deshuan Wood has always been advertised as their great player, but Jordan Plieman was the only guy that jumped out at me on their roster. Plieman seems larger than I remember him, and was a force down low. Something else that jumped out at me was WSU's lack of any type of 3 point threat (3 of 17), and their lousy free throw shooting (45.5%). It might have been an off night for them, but the shooting was very ugly. In the end, they have some real size on their roster so expect them to work it down low. I'm not going to knock WSU's defense though because once again UWGB road Evanochko to the win (played the entire 40 min). I'll be very happy when Evanochko graduates because that guy has a killer shot. UWGB was losing (much like the UWM game) at half and I'm nearly certain Coach Kowalczyk's second half game plan was just to get the ball to Evanochko off a screen and hit a midrange jumper. This happened numerous times (much like against us) and allowed Evanochko to score 20 of his 22 total points all in the second half. Good thing Kowalczyk is playing him so much now because he will be dead by the conference tournament. Finally, the way Biancardi was screaming at some of his players I'm sure they will play very hard against us. He should really watch his language with so many young impressionable kids around . alright, time to focus on WSU. i really don't know too much about these guys beyond Wood. sounds like we'll have some bigs to deal with which gives us the chance to see if D Ford can make it two in a row. frankly i'll believe that when i see it, but here's to hoping!
joah simply has to pull his head out of his a$$ for this one. no more stupid turnovers, wild shots, or inexplicable mental breakdowns. it's our last home game for an extended period so it would be great to see him put on a solid, all-around performance before hitting the road again. clearly it's a mental thing right now. we all know he can play and dominate.
after our last few sketchy outings i see this team coming out and dominating from the tip. but you never know, WSU gave us a whale of a game at home last year.
hope to see a big crowd. students hopefully will show up in mass. it's also the Chevy night and if i remember right, that had big results last year.

yeah, i'm hopefull it'll be in that range as well. wasn't this Chevy promotion for the YSU game last year? i remember we had nearly 6,500 show up for a bottom feeder. someone correct me if i'm wrong on that one.
