No doubt. Sorry little d but it's just not there. He was put in the game to make a three, had an open look and bricked it... again. He hasn't made one all year. Why not put in Nick Hansen? Boy that scholarship would come in handy next year. i agree, i'm nervous anytime i see him on the court. i'd much rather have an inexperienced D'angelo Jackson than Wimmer.

well, having had time to look back at this game objectively i don't quite harbor the "end of the at-large" thoughts i had before. let's face it, this team still needs to learn how to play through a game. i'm a little surprised that they don't understand it at this point as they've been tested in much tougher environments (Montana - billed as their biggest game in a decade!). either way, my hope is this game lights the fire under their collective butts.
joah's gotta get his head on straight. those missed threes and missed throws are a big part of why we lost. it's been stated here over and over so there's no need to rehash it.
sometimes losses can be good for a team. we're actually a step ahead of last year in terms of record so the sky certainly isn't falling. we need to go get a win in Detroit and come home and take care of business at home.
thank goodness our RPI didn't fall like i thought it would!

I know we need height next year, but I don't think we are out of the D'Angelo Jackson hunt. I hear the coaches love him.
Plus, poor man wants Jackson BADLY. I don't want to see him go up there.
P.S. How lame were those piped in chants?!?!

P.S. How lame were those piped in chants?!?! Well, even I agree with you on this point, and I'm a Green Bay fan. I don't like those at all. It takes away from the environment of a college game. I knew we would probably get torn up about those.

Remember, wins by Green Bay and the Division 1 teams they've beaten (Greensboro, Montana St., UC-Irvine) now help us in the critical RPI, used as a tool for selection and seeding. Root for them against all the teams we've yet to play.

Where else but in Green Bay would you see the dance team doing the chicken dance!?!?!?! That was horrible!

Well, what was the purpose of their chicken toss? One couple goes out to the floor and does a chicken toss. They stop after five chickens are collected. Then they walk off the floor. Of course, it's Brown County. So they probably do this all the time.

i dunno about anyone else, but I kinda feel that Robbie got a little out coached. I mean, GB went in at half and adjusted by using a zone on defense, and Milwaukee just couldn't do anything to break it. And even after half, the panthers just had no way to stop Evenochco. Plus, even with 21 points, Joah had a bad game. Thowing up ugly threes when there were not needed, missing FT's. Not good. did anyone else get the feeling that they were out of their offense, too??

You have to make your shots to break a zone. We didn't make ours. Evenochco was having a monster game. Some of his buckets were due to no defense but alot of them were defensed well.

i dunno about anyone else, but I kinda feel that Robbie got a little out coached. Yes. Like everyone has stated, bad bad Joah. I'm also getting pretty sick of Mark "turnover" Pancratz, at least this year. Jeter needs to get some bodies on this team for next year because I worry about the state of the team with some of the guys that are going to be stepping up. Blah.

I don't know about the out-coached part, but maybe that was a part of it. I think lack of focus on offense and the inability to stop, or slow-down, Evanochko is what really hurt them.
I do know that Tucker has not been playing his game(and it shows), no difference in the GB game.
Boo Davis never seems to be on the floor when they need scoring from people other than Tucker. He scored 16 against GB, but I don't remember him having a big presence when they needed him. It seems that way an awful lot too. Besides the Wisconsin game and one of the games out west...he seems to disappear in the clutch moments.
They couldn't get the ball to Tigert versus that zone, and when they did he went off(9 straight points). That would be where I think Jeter got out-coached. Maybe he wasn't prepared for a zone or if he was they didn't work on it enough in practice...I don't know.
Another thing that I've noticed is the lack of any presence by the group of assistant coaches. Not to live in the past, but when a full time-out was called with Pearl and his staff, the coaches would huddle up and the players would huddle up. Then after 20 seconds...they'd huddle up together.
During timeouts this season, Jeter addresses the 5 who are playing and the rest of the team and the assistant coaches kind of mull around, casually talk to one another, watch the dance squad, look at the scoreboard and not much of anything else.
No grabbing players after the huddle and addressing them on certain things they've noticed, etc.
Maybe Jeter wants to make it very clear that this is his team, therefore the assistant coaches are going to step back a little.
Thoughts?

My thoughts are this...I just noticed it once but when Avery Smith got pulled from the CSU game I think it was or maybe Oakland. One of the assistants was talking to Jeter and Jeter kinda lit into Biddlingmeyer for maybe coddling the players a tad. I dont know I couldnt hear but I do know Jeter was on Biddlingmeyer's ass a bit..but I dont know...its just not as personable of a staff as in the past..but that may be the nature of this new staff. I dont care how they do it just get us in the dance

I've also noticed that the assistants don't seem to play as big a role as they did in the past at least during the games. I wonder if this is something Jeter picked up from Bo.

I've been sitting on my hands a bit. Would it make sense to anyone that we play our best defender on a guy who is "on fire"?
Avo denied the ball from Wersch in the short time that he was in. You can criticize his offensive game all you want, but to have him benched for what I believe was the entire second half or at least most of it is an error.
Incredibly, Avo also decided to play a respectable offensive game as well.
Nice to see that Hanson was able to make his shots.
I think what we should be looking at is that Boo shot 3-10 from 3 pt land. We haven't won games like this when he doesn't shoot the lights out. We rely way too much on him.
I hope there are some who've noticed that I've thought Joah has had this problem for far too long. I've said he needed to be benched long ago. We've won despite him not because of him.

Kroener, it was the CSU game. I sit about 8 rows back from the UWM bench, and well, let's just say that a lot of parents were putting "earmuffs" over their kids' ears. He was not happy at all with Bids.
