anybody know why Werch doesn't play? He really can shoot the ball. Werch broke his ankle before the start of the school year, but was ready to start playing by the end of November. However, he reinjured it and had to sit out for a little while longer. He's been playing more extensive minutes since the holiday tournament. He played 20 of 45 minutes tonight against UIC, scoring 12 points.

from talking with different ppl tonight, we're absolutely psyched about saturday . it was cool to hear that the coaches were surprised at how many of us were coming up but that we were really energized for this matchup. for all of those who are coming (please pass this along to others who don't check out the board) let those who are going to be loud and rowdy sit up front. yes i know it's reserved seating and all but why not let those who are willing to sacrifice their voices and/or admission status to be put up front to mess w/ the thin-skinned poor man's coach k and his talentless players? especially since the game will be nationally televised, it'd be a better scenario to get our chants on tv. plus i might get another sign confiscated by their talentless coach who cannot take criticism. if you do not let us, then i will let quote the hair-gelled one, "You are ruining my career!"

I'll be there sitting with some UWGB season ticket holders. I always dress in black and gold! I've been told to shut up by more GB fans sitting around me than I can count.
Once this super old guy hobbled up to me and said, "you're yelling and screaming is making you look like an ass."
I didn't really respond because he was probably right and his voice was laced with so much anger, I was kind of scared.
I also didn't stop yelling and screaming.

We will be there, dressed old-school (old gold early 90's warm up!), ready to give little k (aka the Italy of the "Axis of evil") an earful.
migawd, I hate guys named Todd.

Does anyone have the Resch Center's address? The UWGB site has directions, but I'd prefer to have the addy. Thanks in advance. Resch Center 1901 S. Oneida St. Green Bay, WI 54304 if this doesn't work for whatever reason, the RC is across the street from Lambeau and two blocks or so away from Brett Favre's Steakhouse. for those going to the game we should all meet up somewhere (the Steakhouse possibly) and have our own pre-game party. I'm down with a party. Whenever, wherever, fine by me. I'm probably gonna start heading up noonish. Yeah, it's not hard to find the Resch. It's on the other side of Oneida St. from Lambeau. My cousin Jason's wedding was at the Brett Favre Steakhouse. Verrry nice place. When we got kicked out at 1 in the morning, the party moved to Anduzzis. They didn't want to let me in because I was underage. And that, my friends, is why it is awesome to have parents that let you drink.

really no talk of the game on GB's board. though as far as i can tell they only have about 4 members . so what's everyone's take on the game? i expect another battle, like last year, despite Milwaukee being overwhelmingly better. with the game nationally televised they'll be pumped. thankfully we'll have tons of black and gold to counter the home crowd. i hope to see a balanced attack from UWM. joah should be primed to perform well, especially knowing his skills will be on display for all to see. let's just hope that doesn't translate into him jacking up bad three's. i didn't have a problem with him shooting behind the arc against LU as they were almost all open looks. also hope to see AT have a big game. he's due for one of his 15-plus scoring nights. hopefully we bother Evanocho early and often, use an effective press, and play quality defense. after last year's very dissapointing loss, we have a little bit more to play for... gotta start this road trip right!

Any GB game at the Resch makes me nervous. But not as much as in previous years. A solid game from everyone is needed, and we need to get the bench involved a bit more (calling out Messiah, Marky Mark, and Avo). We need this to keep pace with Wright State, who is lying in the weeds at 4-0 and are coming to the Cell next weekend.
Milwaukee 84 Green Bay 70

I really think this team is more poised on the road and more focused than at home for whatever reason. I expect the team takes the fans and GB out of the game very early by building a 10+ point lead within the first five minutes.
Milwaukee 85 Green Bay 65
Boo and Tucker go for 20+ , Tigert gets himself a doubl-double and we make a nice statement on national tv.

don't forget to stop by the Stadium View before the game. that'll be our unofficial pre-game gathering. It is located 1 block east of Flamebeau Field and the Resch Center (1963 Holmgren Way to be exact). jdbrew and myself will probably arrive around noon or 1pm. here's a map of GB for those unfamiliar w/ the area: www.thestadiumview.com/map.htmhope to see a lot of you there. GO PANTHERS!!!

Should be a good time, as long as Dutch doesn't get arrested for badgering re-Todd all afternoon. yeah i got to say i have a feeling that todd (he doesn't even deserve his first name capitalized) is really going to get the wrath of the dutchkid who hasn't gotten to scream his brains out at t a game yet. even if i am from section 224 he's still gonna get it. looking forward to a nice early afternoon beer at Stadium View, and then trying to figure out who todd thinks is going to be his next Mendiburu. ok i gotta stop now cuz im starting to get all kinds of ready to go and start yelling at my computer which doesn't have the same effect. good to see that football is finding productive things to do while at work

I don't know if I'll make it to Stadium View by noon or 1. I actually don't know how I'm going to get up there.
I'm trying to think of a sign to have at the game. The generic TV one will do.
I was thinking of one, but I can't finish it.
Every Slick-hair poor man N 2
Give me some help with the N and the 2, if you guys will.
I work at 5, so I'm gonna run by Office Max when I get off work.
As many ideas as possible, I'm going to see what I can do about getting on TV.
Something derogatory, yet something that won't get taken away by "f-oil-licle."
