Lots of stuff here. Physicality is not a word. The writer must have attended the Bill Maas School of Journalism. In addition, "The press wasn't any harder in the second half?" I greatly beg to differ. Also, how were many of A.T.'s looks were open? It seems to me that he's either covered fiercely and has to use to craftiness or has earned his open looks by outhustling the opponent to the ball. I suppose that people cry when they've just lost only their seventh home game in eight years. ... Which brings us to Bobbi's story (sigh!). Facts, Bobbi. We need facts. Why is it called the 'Dome of Doom'? What is the altitude there? (We know it's 7,220 feet. Does the reader?) Etc. etc.

What is the altitude there? (We know it's 7,220 feet. Does the reader?) Etc. etc. That's almost 1 1/2 miles high, not only does that altidude have less oxygen, but you get drunk faster as well!!

By the way, since no one else has mentioned it I just want to say that was Derrick Ford's best game of the year by FAR. I know he played only 8 minutes, but they were 8 GOOD minutes. Nice game, big guy. Keep it going.

1. AVO (I will refer to him as such on this message board, just to appease fan) will be a great basketball player, once he learns how to play. You aren't just appeasing me. The team calls him Avo. Bill Johnson calls him Avo. His friends call him Avo. He calls himself Avo. And yes he will be great. He might have been better with the redshirt but considering that this is my last year, I pleased as f*** that he didn't. As for learning how to play, senior Joah Tucker takes some of the worst shots on the team. I found it ironic that Joah was the one counselling Avo. 2. Was it just me, or was listening to Darrin Sutton really painful last night? He's not terrible with baseball, but basketball's pace or his lack of knowledge in the area makes for a pretty sick telecast. I personally listened to last night's game with the volume off. His reference to Joah as "top 15, top 10, top 5 player" was on par with that student broadcaster blunder. Sutton is lost. Its good humor but humor is not what you're looking for in this instance. 5. Kevin Massiah keeps looking better and better. Agreed

Ok, I am going to say this, and I know there is some debate about Avery and things, but honestly, I am a bit upset about the paper naming Joah player of the game.....Come on now, It was AT's 100th start, and he scored his career high in points. Now, I know Joah was only 2 points below, and I am normally a strong supporter, but let's look at how AT played with what he was up against. He is not getting the credit he is due this year at all!!!!

Zoofan, you are absolutely right. But don't think this was any kind of deliberate slight. Rather, it was more a byproduct of inexperienced and quite possibly rushed reporting. Remember, Joah did the vast majority of his damage after the half (scoring 13 of his 19 points). A.T., as usual, was steady throughout. Another problem with the reporting: A.T. might have also passed the 1,000-point plateau AND become the school's all-time leading rebounder. These things must be researched before the games are played so milestones can be anticipated.

My two cents on Massiah:
He was not switching well on defense and was losing track of his man. I think the Panthers' D suffers when he is in the game.

As for learning how to play, senior Joah Tucker takes some of the worst shots on the team. I found it ironic that Joah was the one counseling Avo. That is an interesting observation, and you are right. As far as our seniors go, I think it is obvious that Joah is the least "adjusted" to our system. I'm not sure if it is a good thing or not for him to be the guy counseling Avo.

I'm sure there she was there at tipoff. I don't think Laramie has any clubs where she can kick it that would keep her from being there on time.
Reminds me of this gem from her informative chat the other day:
Q: tommy of Wauwatosa - Is Rob Jeter recruiting anybody taller than 6'4" for the spring signing period?
A: Bobbi Roquemore - Tommy, oh gosh, I'm still thinking about my New Year's Eve party plans, and you're onto the spring signing period!!! Seriously, though, I'm sure that's on the Horizon

No, I'm positive I heard Bill mention right before the half that Bobbi had finally arrived. I doubt many people listened to the radio broadcast, I know I would have watched on TV if I was home.

As for Boo only getting 18 minutes, if I remember right (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Boo has asthma. Playing at a high altitude may have affected him more than any other player. Pure speculation on my part, but it does make sense considering the 1 foul. Also, I do recall him heading to the bench early in the second half (2-3 minutes in) looking pretty winded FYI regarding Boo Davis: His asthma was really bad on Tuesday, thus the limited minutes and pretty flat performance. The coaches expect him to be well rested tomorrow, however. The team has been in Montana sice yesterday (elevation 3200) and Boo should have good legs all game.
