84-69 Milwaukee, Final.
Solid half court D in 2nd half and good movement off the ball on offense.
Go Panthers!

If we start the Mont game like we ended this one...i see a huge road trip, good game, 1st half ended bad but we picked it up.
Jeter did a good job with the subs, to break it down and not let the alt. get the best of the Panthers.

solid win tonite for the panthers. i thought that Jeter did great with the subs, and we played a lot better defense in the second half. we still looked sloppy at times, but I'm ok with that being that when they are on THEY ARE ON FIRE!
sorry fan but i think your huge man-crush with Avo needs to be toned down a touch, he should not be allowed to shoot the ball at all unless he is on a breakaway lay up, he just has a poor shot right now. Although he is a super defender so to me that makes up just fine.
watching the game my dad & I noticed a striking similarity with Jones the point guard of WYO, he seemed to resemble Buckwheat of the "Little Rascals", maybe it was just us but thats what we thought anyway. just a funny side note to throw in i guess.
ok, good win, now lets go get us some Grizzles!

I agree on AVO. It was good to see that on his last steal he actually passed the ball off instead of blowing another layup

suck an egg guys. he shot 40%, scored in double digits and once again led the team in steals. He deserves every minute he gets. His shots weren't terrible. He had a bad pass to tigert with time running down. He may have pushed it a few times when he couldve laid off but he'll make those very soon. Settle down kittens.
Does anyone else see a problem in that Boo Davis only played 18 minutes? He had 1 foul so there goes that theory.

I think Mr. Smith did shoot some bad shots in the game last night, but not necessarily on that particular lay up. He charged to the hole with way too much time on the shot clock late in the game, even after we were starting to put some distance on Wyoming and that bothers me. He also, on a number of occasions drove with his head down and never looked up to pass the ball off. He plays good defense but he needs to pull up sometimes on a steal and set up the swing. At this time Avery is very inconsistent------He had that amazing pass for the Boo Davis dunk. I don’t question his ability I just refuse to suck an egg if I’m being matter-of-fact on what he has shown so far.

Darron Sutton and Jason Clark finally made mention of this at the end of the game, but RJ deserves A TON of credit for this win. His substitution "patter" in the first half allowed the starters to play more minutes in the 2nd, play the press, and eventually completely wear Wyoming down. Without decent minutes from Hanson, Smith, Ford and even Wimmer's minute, we're not able to execute as well as we did in the second half. RJ completely outcoached Wyoming's head coach, who's name escapes me.
As for Boo only getting 18 minutes, if I remember right (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Boo has asthma. Playing at a high altitude may have affected him more than any other player. Pure speculation on my part, but it does make sense considering the 1 foul. Also, I do recall him heading to the bench early in the second half (2-3 minutes in) looking pretty winded.
Great win for the boys. Bring on the Grizzlies!!!!

Fan, since when is shooting 40% impressive? Especially when 3 of the 4 were bunnies? I didnt intend on it being "impressive" persay. Only pointing out that it wasn't bad. The guy was second on the team in rebounds as well. There are many players on the team that make far more inexcusable mistakes than does avo. I only ask for patience. He will get more unselfish when he knows the guys.

I was referring to dutch and milsport on the sucking comment as they were the two who posted. You weren't instructed to suck eggs unless you feel the need to. I don't know why you are so stubborn in referring to him as Mr. Smith. Is there a reason for this? I hope you aren't bothered too much by my response.
