Something important happened for me during the UW game. I went from viewing Rob Jeter as a UW assistant coaching the Panthers to viewing him as the Head Coach of the Milwaukee Panthers.
Maybe it was the 19 - 0 run. Maybe it was the genuine emotion displayed on the sidelines. Maybe it was the technical he deserved and needed to get. Maybe it was my perception that he now knows (after experiencing it) how hard it is to get a call against a "major." Maybe it was his pissed off look when he shook hands with Ryan after the game. Regardless...
Welcome aboard Coach Jeter. There is no doubt in my mind anymore. RJ is the man for the job.

I still can not get over the technical. 8 mins. left, tie game, mo on our side, T. All of a sudden down 6, no mo, lights out.
The T was needed earlier in the game, not crunch time.....rookie coach mistake!
Also, not sure if was adjusments, Boo absolutely on fire, or the fact that Joah was on the bench.

Completely agree. I was always behind him as UWM's new head coach but (like many others, I believe) no true loyalty. Jeter did a great job at gaining that last night, at least with me.

The T was needed earlier in the game, not crunch time.....rookie coach mistake! Rob said NOTHING there...the T was called by the ref under the basket (the one who totally MISSED the call when Massiah was hacked). There was another official right in front of the Panther bench. He should have been the one to call a T if it was warranted. That technical was an official's mistake....not the fault of our coach.

yeah, that one certainly wasn't Jeter's fault. he had a right to be incensed. that was a terrible no-call and the turning point in the game.

The technical foul wasn't Jeter's fault; Ryan was showing just as much emotion on the bench.
Jeter is definetely a keeper, and we as fans should feel extremely lucky that for the 3rd time in a row we've gotten a good-if not great coach.
Now to attempt to hold on to him :/

Even the Badger fans knew that T was not warranted. They were cheering and then the replay was shown. The cheering quickly stopped. They saw the hack, the slap in Massiah's face, and the goal tend. If they didn't know beforehand, they sure knew then, that the Panthers were getting homered.
But it wasn't just the T, Jeter was pretty animated the whole game. I'm wondering if the ref who T'ed him was the same guy who took Tucker out of his game early in the first half.

Might be time to break out the "Rob-bie, Je-ter" chant at the end of games.
Rob-bie, Je-ter, clap, clap, clap-clap, clap! Rob-bie, Je-ter, clap, clap, clap-clap, clap! Rob-bie, Je-ter, clap, clap, clap-clap, clap!

agreed...I thought the same thing...Jeter literally said nothing at that time..he stomped his foot and the official from the other side of the floor gave him the T...however after the T he mighta deserved another one..thank god he didnt get it

Rob-bie, Je-ter, clap, clap, clap-clap, clap! this is a very good point.......not sure what else those who are still leary about Rob need him to do to prove that he is OUR coach and is going to be OUR coach... and mcdadenets50 great call on the look on Rob's face after the game, we have all heard how much admiration Jeter has for Ryan and the way that he just walked right by him after the game without batting an eye i think really said something about Jeter as OUR coach. He wants to beat people as the HEAD COACH of MILWAUKEE, not as th guy who used to be the ass. coach at the other UW-M. sorry don't mean to rant but it is great to see the support that Jeter deserves.

I am so proud of Jeter for everything he did during the UW game...
He is our coach... and he deserves the clap. Let's give him some serious love in the last minute of the UWGB game. Come on Milwaukee... let's show Rob we're behind him.
