Time to turn our attention to Purdue. If there was ever a 4 - 12 team that scares me it is this team. If UWM plays the lock down D they have been playing, our chances to win should be pretty good. My main concern is stopping Landry. As Landry goes, so does Purdue. It is time for our post players do dust off that pump fake, since Purdue's bigs try to block shots. It should be a interesting few days leading up to the game. Here's to Purdue hopefully going into the tank and giving up on this season . Who is all going to Purdue?
Panther fans need to meet up either before the game, during, or after the game.
There is a place in town called Chumley's that is pretty cool. Otherwise there is Harry's Chocolate Shop (I think) that is a cool speakeasy. Pretty good food.

I'll be there ... taking the day off from work. Got seats in the lower level, section 3 across from the UWM bench.

Indeed, Mr. Football. And if memory serves me correct, didn't you attempt to 'sample' each one?

The time has come for us to step up and beat a team from an "elite" level conference. Purdue may be 4-12, but they are Big Ten. If we want to be taken seriously, we must win this game.
I'm feeling good!!

Purdue just took a loss to Iowa this past weekend.
Also note there record may be 4-12 overall, but 0-6 conference!

I don't think that when we put this game on the sked we expected it to be a no win situation for the Panthers and it really is.
If we lose to Purdue we will get absolutly no respect nationally for the remainder of the year.
If we beat Purdue, it won't be seen as anything special because they haven't won a game in two months and are horrible.
This is a tough one, we need to dominate to really gain anything from this one.

I don't agree that this is a "no-win" sitaution. Respect is earned over time. Purdue might be horrible thsi year, but they are still a Big Ten program with some very impressive tradition.
A win will go a long way. Respect isn't something that is just doled out after a single win, it is something gained over the long run.
A loss will be a setback, however. I do agree with you there.

this is a pretty interesting situation for the panthers. even though purdue isn't very good this year that's still a tough place to play. i think we have the better team for sure but we'll see what happens. it's certainly a must win in terms of any at large considerations (if we're even on the bubble at all). i feel pretty good going into this game. we've been tested a number of times and are certainly as ready as we'll ever be for this game. if ed, joah, AT and company play their games we'll be just fine. it's hard to believe but i think the panthers have greater depth and that should serve well in this one.

Don't get me wrong lou, in my eyes a win at Purdue coupled with the win at STL is something to be very proud of, two road wins against major conference teams would be great... ...I just see the national audience see it as wow, Purdue must really suck this year.

Well, you can't win over everyone at once. You're probably right - most will look at this as a case of how bad Purdue is, and not how good we are.
But not everyone will. Some people will recognize. It's just going to take time.
