As luck would have it, I am the father that you refer to in your message. I can't tell you how much I appreciated your response not only here, but at that game. I really appreciated your sincere apology. Believe me, if I knew the audience was all grown ups, I'd be swearing like a trucker...but I have to set the tone and example for my kids.
I don't necessarily expect those around me to adjust to how I hope to protect my kids. I also don't believe being a drunk or youthful or having learned the words at a young age are any excuse for poor behavior in public. Again, I too went through the same things Flamer mentioned below. However, civility, respect for others and personal responsibility do not or should not disappear simply because your of legal age
