so then does that make it ok??
ok if you are willing to admit it then why is it that you guys keep making this HUGE deal out of it? What's the point of bringing up this point time after time after time, but there should be no "well he did make an attempt this time" or anything like that cuz it has happened on both sides.
SO FOR THE LOVE OF F-ING GOD LET IT DIE! (granted it seems to make great marketing, hence the reason for ESPN wanting to put our regular season game on)
now i have come to the understanding that neither side is going to change the other aboout our respective coaches, yes each of them have done things in the past that i am sure they do not feel good about but that what it is the past, nothing that we can do abouot it now in 2004. So lets just be done with it.

UIC still has the colors of the Fighting Illini. Actually, UIC is red and blue....the Illini are orange and blue.....we've never had the same colors as far as I know but I may be wrong.......

I guess that is a little stretch... but the red uniforms seem a bit orange. I am more of a fan of the dark blue uni's. Maybe it was the broadcast that made them look orange too.

wow, this was such a clutch victory for uwm! our team is so great this year. for everybody that went down to the Pav. i just want to say how awesome we were, i think that we were louder than the flames fans were in there own house! and for any UIC fan to think that your mascot is cool, u guys have to be flamers. im not sayin that our mascot is a lot better but "wow" those skits durring timeouts were quite homo-rific.

"wow" those skits durring timeouts were quite homo-rific. Wow there is a statement from someone I really want to listen to take you gay bashing and leave it at home, this message board has always been above that, at least I think!

OK, a couple of things:
The word is "moot" not "mute".
Collins is a cheater and Pearl is a "Rat". Everyone has his or her opinion on which is worse. In this case, I think it mostly depends on whom you root for.
The glass is half full:UWM still won a crucial conference game on the road despite Ed McCants not producing offensively.
The glass is half empty:Ed Mcants is a Senior and a POY candidate and he is not producing offensively in crucial games! WTF??
(I know that they're deep and a lot of the players are capable of big games but I thought Ed was going to take over for Clay and Dylan as the main man. If he ratchets up his consistency, Joah may end up being the crunch time go-to guy.)

Regardless of all the hype around Pearl and Collins it is clear that UWM and UIC are the class of the Horizon League. Sounds like it was a lot of fun at the Pav - especially for the Panther fans.
I don't think there is anyone in the conference that would dispute that the Panthers are far and away the team to beat. Going down and beating UIC on their own floor is just the beginning of what could be a special season. The rest of us, for now, are trying to hold up our end of the bargain and cheer our teams on and hope that we can accumulate some non-conference wins that will in the end help the top teams in the RPI. GB certainly didn't help by getting blown out by Michigan State and I sure hope we don't have a similiar result tomorrow night against the Badgers.
Keep rolling Panthers and bring the spotlight to the Horizon League.

sorry huey thanks for the correction, was in a hurry before.
and ML the only people that will say that UWM are not teh team to beat this year so far are those down in chicago, well maybe a few in butler but then again we haven't heard much from them yet so who knows.

Until someone proves that they can handle UWM they really have nothing to say. No one in the conference can say a word. There will be a lot of garbage talk but as always it's all about the scoreboard.
The difference between UWM and the rest of the league are the athletes. They are also well coached. I do believe there are a number of good coaches in the league but the difference at this point is the quickness and athletic ability at most positions.

Just watched a copy of the game on tivo, and man were we loud! You can hear us over the non existant UIC fans. when the camera flashes to the UIC crowd it is usually a couple frat guys just standing there not really doing much, waiting for their chance to participate in the horrible halftime show! All throughout the game you can hear us chanting and going nuts! Although we do need to slow down the DEFENSE chant, it got a little too fast at times. When Mcgee is shooting his free throws you can also hear us chanting " NO means no!" and when Williams was at the line you can hear "Failure" and "check His grades" and the best of all "what's your major" (my guess is that it's something like underwater basket weaving) I can't believe that he was even eligible to play in that game, at least he had his number on his head band in crayon so he could remember what jersey to grab, you look in the mirror, if the jersey matches the head band you go play. IMO if the semester isn't over than his suspension should not be over. I actually wanted him to play so we could beat UIC on their floor with their best players on the floor, so you UIC fans that come on here and cry about everything have no arguement. you lost your fans are usless, your timeout and halftime skits are really stupid, especially that one where Barney rose his blow-up girlfriend up and took her away to do whatever. I would hate to go to that school and have that horrible mascot. He doesn't make any sense and should be put out of his misery. If I went to that school and they did that kind of garbage i probably wouldn't go to games either. side note the UICstomper should probably stomp out Barney so you can actually gets some fans in that arena and get louder that a Bus full of Panther fans!

Frustrating day for UIC at DePaul. Looks like they had a good start, poor second half. They are still a very dangerous team.
Some thoughts from the UIC board on the fan turnout for the DePaul game:
I think this is the only city in america where you can get unbelievable seats at the very last minute, in what is supposed to be a great game. I know if I was a uwm fan and they played Marquette, I would have been sitting in the nose bleed section. How in the world does UWM come into our place and every place with all those fans. I have a lot of respect for their fans who are in charge of setting up the bus trips. I dont agree with their cheering but they really do have school spirit. Im embarrised that we had very few students at the game.
