Here's a link to their athletic's website. It does not look like it has been updated in quite some time... www.pvamu.edu/sports/mbasketball2.phpLast season UWM won 87-70. Very young team. It should be another easy win...UWM 88, Prairie View A&M 70. Later, UWMfreak

I would like to see how many of these players are returning contributors and the background of the two 6-10 kids before making any meaningful assessment. I think the enthusiasm is great, Freak. Just remember, 'RESPECT everyone, FEAR no one.'

Just FYI, they are projected to finish in 9th place (out of 10) in the SWAC Conference. We still can't overlook them and they might get pumped up for this road game. Here is the results of the SWAC Coache's/SID Poll from their website:
MEN’S PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH
Rank School Points 1 Alabama State 146 2 Southern 126 3 Miss. Valley State 125 4 Alabama A&M 121 5t Jackson State 109 5t Texas Southern 109 7 Grambling State 101 8 Alcorn State 85 9 Prairie View A&M 43 10 Ark.-Pine Bluff 25

That's the spirit, Dutch. Now, we need to work on about 2,500 students and several thousand alumni. Of course, I realize that it's a building process.

you know it doesn't really look like they have any kind of fan site or message board that i can find. Maybe that should tell us something, they may have even more problems on thier campus then we do trying to get peopel to their games. ? maybe but who knows, bring 'em on anyway.

Sounded like a good opener tonight, a win is a win. it's great to hear that Ed came out firing and took over the game in the first few minutes of plan. Adrian with a double-double 15pts-12rebs, and Ford with 9pts 4 blks. It's too bad we only played prairie veiw cause it makes it hard to really judge how the team is going to perform. We still need to work on those free throws. I'm really pumped for this season though and have no doubts that we'll live upto all the expectations.
oh yeah, it's defainltey different listening to the games on the internet instead of in person, i don't recomend it. see ya next semester
Go Panthers!

Waaaahoooooooooooo!!!!!! What a win. I'm really at a loss though as to why Bruce continued to tempt fate by playing so many starters so late in the game. In fact even re-entering them into the game. Luckily, no one was injured. I feel bad for A&M, they don't suck that bad. UWM just opened the game on absolute fire from downtown and then proceeded to run them out of the gym. Go Panthers
P.S. Parkside must be quaking in their boots now.

That was freakin Great!
I think we should give props to our D. Before the first half i wasnt sure A&M was going to score above 20. Our guys are definetly playing some good college hoops. Pearl used the bench really good to put on the full court press. That reminds me of a similar season when we went to the big dance. (knock on wood)
I was also very impressed with our guys reading the passing lanes. We had a plenty of steals and balls intercepted turned over for points. Kudos on that.
DId anybody see Derek Ford put down that 3! I did not know he had it in him. It was icing on the cake!
Tigert. Another Double Double. What can i say, i knew he was pimp.
I was very pleased with Boo. THe guy just radiates confidence when he plays. Its magical and hooplicious at the same time.
Wright- I do not have much faith in the guy but he did score 12 points. Him and McCants had this telepathy going, most of his points came from passes out side the three under the basket for an easy two.

Hey guys......what a game is right.....i wasnt able to attend but i listened to the whole game on radio.....but what im really writing to say is i went to highschool with parksides best player, Tyrone Deacon and him and Kyle Clark another parkside player came and visited me tonight and when they got word of the final score of the basketball game they were not to enthused about playing us. For one they said their best big man is some 6'6" string bean. Also either Tyrone or Kyle said they will be on ed throughout the game which i said would not happen. and i was told that boo will be gaurded by Joe C. which unless Joe got taller since his bench sitting days last year will also not happen.....prepare for another game like prarie View.....and lets try to score even more....
