Great game, tons of fun. First time seeing the Panthers this year, a few thoughts. When push comes to shove I'd like to see Chris Hill running the team. Boo is talented but he's not a point guard. Derrick Ford can move and looks like a great teammate. I was pretty impressed with the student section. I was also cringing when the starters were playing late. Is it true that Walt Waters is not playing at Schoolcraft this year giving him 3 years with UWM? Also, is it true that James Douglass is trying to sit out this year as well? I'm sure it's got something to do with this. www.hometownlife.com/HomeTownLife/NewsSearch.asp?pageType=Story&StoryID=61101

117-55? Dizamn! Talk about a blow out. No wonder everyone retreated to Goolsbys.

VERY impressive victory yesterday.
But here's something more impressive ...
GREAT turnout by the student section!
3,200 fans is the area pretty much everyone expected, and I think that's a decent number ... considering it's the season opener (many aren't thinking hoops yet), against a non-quality opponent, with MU playing next door.
Plus, when people see a 117-55 score in today's paper they are going to start going to more games to see just how good UWM is.
Again, GREAT job students!

Great game last night. No real test but at least we were able to show a glimpse of how athletic our team is.
Student Section was nearly perfect. We need them however to be 2x as loud for Air Force. Get into the arena 1 hour before the game and start getting on the Falcons right away. Let them know whos court this is.
START RECRUITING FANS FOR THE AIR FORCE GAME!
Ticket sales for the game are already going well. We need to have a HUGE crowd. ALL FANS, recruit every possible person you know to attend the game.
Later, UWMfreak
ps. The Rubber Chicken contest was over the second Milton stepped on the floor. Now that was domination.

It was a great game. It got so good that I almost felt it was pointless to cheer anymore, but then I realized where I was! That was worse than the All-Stars, they should have wore their practice jerseys, because thats what it was a practice! "PRACTICE? WE'RE TALKING ABOUT PRACTICE! NOT A GAME! PRACTICE!" I can't wait for our first game against Air Force! ;D ;D I'll still be going to the Parkside game. We do need to pack the cell for that game and the Air Force game. If I do recall they beat us last year! So let's get down there and get loud!

i got to agree with the idea that after halftime and even a bit before that it really wasn't even any fun to cheer that much, I got to the point where i really just felt sorry for the guys from PVAMU, but it very true a win is a win and anytime you win by 62 thats impressive I don't care who you are. but on to the next game lets see if there will be any more of a challenage from the Rangers of Parkside (don't really think there will be though)

Waters has and Douglas may have three years of eligibility at UWM. As for the Air Force game, we owe them big for that debacle in the mountains with the Mountain West officials. If we get an officiating break this season, this should be it.

great game. I predicted a much smaller margin of victory than what the final score was. good defense against a bad team. Boo is going to destroy czechowitz. I think this game will be a bigger blowout than last. 115- 46.

I know it was a stomping, and maybe PV was not the toughest team to beat but i think we should note that UWM shot 60% from the feild.
Even against easy teams shooting 60% is up to us more or less.
US = the perviable collective whole of basketball people and players. More of the players, but hey, we cheer for them.
