Xavier was under .500. Absolutely ridiculous. And completely unnecessary! There are 100 teams out there who can justifiably claim to have had a better season. Same for Xavier's opponent Georgia (17-16).

Only 15 teams in the CBI. I assume that is all they could get.

Only 15 teams in the CBI. I assume that is all they could get. Makes you wonder what the CIT field is going to look like….

Only 15 teams in the CBI. I assume that is all they could get. That’s disappointing. I’ve always enjoyed following the CBI. This year’s field seems subpar and isn’t even full…

This is further evidence of how the portal and NIL are diminishing college athletics and how both are marginalizing non-major programs. We've completely been reduced to minor-league teams. Let's collectively start our own end-of-the-year tournament!

Clearly the NIT committee went by the NET ranking as Xavier is 64. NOW they go by NET ratings! -- signed No. 29 Indiana State And yet #100 Georgia gets into the NIT over several other double digit teams that will be sitting at home.

Cleveland State in the CBI Back to back years for them in the CBI. Coincidentally, the same exact seed as last year as well. Interesting bar they have set at CSU. Maybe they just look at this as a final shot for their seniors to play since they have so many of them that are solid players.
