Going to escape after they brick 2 wide open layups. Phew. PFW is hot garabage, maybe the softest 14 and 8 team ive ever seen. Hilarious we take a timeout and they still get another good look. 10 of 36 from triple for them with a lot of missed open looks.

Great defense down the stretch from the guys. Yeah they had shots at the rim, but sometimes its also good to be a little lucky. Let's keep it rolling on Sunday.

That was way too open of a look for Fort Wayne but it ends up being a decent Panther win. BJ seemed to play well down the stretch, which was important because KP and Pratt had down games.

Tough night for the BJ freeman haters and those who claim how Milwaukee is better with him off the court.

Tough night for the BJ freeman haters and those who claim how Milwaukee is better with him off the court. Hey, you’re talking about me! If you watched the first half of that Mercy game, it was because of all the turnovers he had. He played much better in the second half of that game, and I thought he played a sound (albeit unimpressive stats-wise) game on Saturday. It looks like he had a bit of a turnover bug again tonight, but he really came through when he had to.

Purdue Fort Wayne with only 6 fast break points
Panthers with 4 blocks.
Panthers 16 turnovers. PFW 10. Yet, Panthers were +2 in points off turnovers.
2 ties. 5 lead changes.

Tough night for the BJ freeman haters and those who claim how Milwaukee is better with him off the court. I mean the team is 11 and 11 and turned the season around without BJ. You act like those of us want him to struggle. No we want him to progress to the player he should be. One that values the ball and the defensive side of the court. Doesnt make anyone a hater, I never cheer for losses or players to struggle. He had a nice finish of the game after his final turnover with like 3:30 left in the game. Lets crown them for doing what they should do and thats beat a bad team who shot 32 percent from the field on mostly open looks though right? Lots of work to do still with the softest week of games this season.

Gutsi win by the panthers. They left it on the court and got the W in a game we kind of needed to have. Was it pretty all the way through? No, but the hustle was always there despite the short bench.
Great win. Hold court at home against IUPUI, and we are 7-5 and right in the mix.

Kudos to the guys who called the game on ESPN+. They were neutral and empathetic about the Panthers injury situation.

Hey Milwaukee athletic department, did you notice where PFW's student section is located? Along the sidelines directly across from the visitor bench. They don't hide it several feet behind the baseline just because that is the way it has always been done. It shows respect to the students and puts more of a college environment into college basketball. Significantly, it is a marketing enhancement that costs you absolutely nothing to do. Please consider doing it starting next season.

Our student section is as bad as its ever been this season.

Like I stated in the last game thread, among players who get significant minutes, BJ may be the Panthers best and worst player all at the same time. Bart has to continue to find ways to leverage his strengths and hide his weaknesses. If one of us could share a six pack of strong beer with Bart, he just might admit to us that this his most challenging year as a head coach because of some of the personalities on the team. At least the on court personalities. I know nothing about the off court ones (except for BJ's choice of pants😄).
Speaking of on court personalities, I hate some of BJ's antics, like tonight's taunting of opposing players and talking trash to PFW students/fans. He fell to the floor after one of his missed threes (not the one that resulted in a foul) and I thought he was lucky not to be T'ed up for flopping. I look forward to seeing where he and the rest of the team can take us this season. However, I admit I could certainly do without the drama.
