I've received multiple texts that this season is a debacle. I'd argue that with only five home games remaining, it's a lost cause in terms of the intangibles that we always discuss, but the season is certainly salvageable and worthy of our attention.

I agree, this season hasn’t been a debacle. The PBJ season was a debacle. If they played every game like they played in November and the first half of December, it would be a debacle. This season is disappointing, for sure, but we only need 4 (or maybe 3) wins in March to reach our goal and this season is no longer disappointing. The rest of the regular season is all about giving the team the best chance to pull off a run in March that would likely meet its peak in cutting down a net in front of a 20% filled arena in Indianapolis.

No season is a lost cause. I look forward to each and every game regardless the team's record or conference standing. The offseason is way too long not to.

At the risk of getting deep in the weeds, what I mean is that the likelihood of generating much media attention or fan interest the rest of the REGULAR season is miniscule. However, as DTP suggests, this is now a "four days in March" proposition. Let's get some momentum going now! We have one month to get things straightened out! A disappointment, yes. A debacle, no.

I would say debacle is over the top. That tag goes to Detroit to name someone in our league. Five home games that all fall on a weekend, is tons for us! I think we will have solid crowds for NKY, YSU & GB which will be fun games to attend. I remember Senior Day's falling around Feb. 14th.

We expected another step forward for this program, and a lot of different things happened that has made this season a step backwards compared to last season. Honestly, if last season and this season traded places, we'd be very happy with how things are going. However, I feel like the athletic department has stumbled over itself with this season. Even with the down performance on the court, they had plenty of opportunities to build the program and promote it better so that we still would've had a lot of people wanting to go to the games, win or lose. It feels like a lost opportunity for them.

Guys, this is a flawed team but they're incredibly entertaining and they bust their ass on the court. I wish the players wouldn't get down on themselves when things aren't going well - or at least they appear that way - but when you think about how we get as fans, it tracks.

Injuries are becoming a major factor. What would the team look like with Pierce Spencer? Seemed like the light was coming on for Aaron Franklin, then hand injury. Darris Duffy was playing pretty good since mid-December. Out of the year. Dominic Ham & Zach Howell both could have helped. BJ Freeman missing SIX games.

We could really use a win to position us for a top 4 conference finish. Obviously.

And now Faizon Fields has an injury. Bart Lundy said on the pregame show he will not start because he missed practice, but he is expected to come off the bench. Whatever the injury is, x-rays confirmed no fracture.
