Bart Lundy in his very short postgame radio appearance immediately after the game: Q. Markeith Browning obviously taking some of that load on the offensive side of things, your team as a whole attacking downhill to try to make the game as long as you could late getting to the line, getting downhill, maybe getting some open looks, that was the theory anyway, it just didn't come together down the stretch. A. Yeah, I mean we had a ton of open looks and we just didn't make any of them. You get in a hole like that you've got to make shots to come back and set your press. So, hats off to Green Bay and Coach Wicks. I didn't think Reynolds right here showed much class, but Coach Wicks is a good coach. He's doing a good job. We've got to get better and I'd say after tonight we've officially begun a rivalry. That last sentence is upsetting to me. The fact this wasn't already considered a rivalry is hugely disappointing - especially after losing at home to them last year, one of the worst teams in the nation. Perhaps someone could offer a history lesson to the staff and players. We've only got one actual rival left in this conference.

If Bama was undefeated and Milroe got hurt in one of the last 2 games and couldn't play, I guarantee they would've put Bama in and ESPN wouldve been leading the charge. Only in college sports do we have old geezers sitting in a room watching 27in. TVs determining a championship playoff. It would be like the NFL putting in the Jets and Giants because of their market size over Green Bay/Jacksonville for the wild card. That said, as a viewer, I'd rather watch Bama/Michigan š Bama wouldn't have won their last two without him. Heck, they only beat Auburn on a miracle and an absolutely atrocious defensive performance gift given to them by Auburn. The truth of the matter is the SEC is heads and tails better than the ACC from top to bottom. If Bama was in the ACC, lost Milroe and won their last two games, I would guess the same thing would have happened to Bama. And you can say FSU got hosed, but the truth of the matter is, FSU likely wouldn't have done well against any of the teams that got in. I say this as a Dawgs fan, they put the four best teams in. College football is a disaster and getting worse. 4 team playoff, and they still canāt help themselves from having undefeated teams not have a chance to play for a championship. The playoffs were supposed to fix that issue. I find myself watching less and less every year , and with this and the crazy conference realignment stuff, I think Iām about done. That said, I get the decision. Itās the SEC and everyone else. Georgia and Alabama are better than any of these other teams. Texas and Oklahoma coming next year will cement the SEC as miles above everyone else. Going forward if they really want the 4 best teams, they will all come from the SEC barring a miracle.

And they arenāt good this year, and they were especially bad last year. Beat GB. Itās our one and only rivalry currently. FFS

I was at the game in Green Bay in 2004 when TJ and pmck very nearly came to blows. Gee, you think this might be a rivalry?!?!

Bart might as well have said, "Man, we got ambushed! I didn't realize they would be so fired up to play us. I thought we were friends!!"

Yeah, Bart could use some media training. B-I-N-G-O! Scary that he has experience running his own program for 20-plus years and he would say something like that!!!

He literally did that interview while/after Noah Reynolds was trying to go after a player on his team and had to be restrained 3 times. I'm sure the last thing he wanted to do after a loss to GB and the postgame nonsense was talk about the loss.

Some thoughts: *The way we look lucky to even be .500 this year. *We miss Rand but also Justin Thomas He added a special dimension on defensive end especially the press. *When we go to the bench the next guards are horrendous on defense and the team automatically fall off the ledge with perimeter defense. This is where also not having Spencer hurts. *Wondering if the team was reading its press clippings and assumes they will be in hunt for NCAA and top finish in conference. Especially Pullian and Jamison. They snuck up on people last year but now seems they have forgotten the effort it took. *Lastly, yes weird comment from coach. This HAS been a rivalry starting in 92 with Antrim through Cobb, Jeter, Ryan, Pearl , even PBS especially Pearl and PMCK....

I still prefer a relatively tone deaf comment on the rivalry to a comment blaming travel or the refs and āneeding timeā. Itās a small improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.

However, you are probably correct FTA. Sometimes context gets lost when reduced to writing. Bart sounded depressed, frustrated and angry in his 1.5 minute postgame stint. My guess is he is internalizing all that is going wrong, including his own mistakes. He has not had much experience losing (final year at High Point excepted). He is probably not dealing with it well, especially in the first few minutes after another poor game and postgame fracas.

I thought it was bullsh*t when UCF was left out. Florida State has a far stronger argument.
As for Lundy, I thought it was pretty clear he was saying he had begun a rivalry with Wicks.
