Big D,
A win against SLU isn't as big as it used to be. They're a good team, but are nothing compared what they used to be... mostly because of them losing 4 of their top recruits to the MLS superdraft before they were juniors. If their player was stupid (or unlucky) enough to get a red card and cause his team to play down a man for 55 minutes, it's difficult for most teams (especially a good team like UIC) to bounce back.
Depaul is a joke, and UIC should have thrashed them. UMKC isn't even worth talking about, and Bradley is respectable. Thus, UIC has had a respectable schedule so far, but nowhere near top 25 IMO.
Just to be fair, I'll analyze UWM too. They lost 1-0 to the #2 team in the country, but got thrashed by a Tulsa team that they should have beaten by at least a few goals. UWM will have to seriously rebound this weekend if they want to get ranked... it's possible playing creighton (15 straight posteason bids) and washington (the 6th ranked team in the country).
So by no means am I ripping on UIC soccer... I'm glad they're doing well. But fans on your board are acting like you've won the college cup. Save the excitement for when you make the NCAA tournament.

However, I will admit that UIC on the road is IMO by far the most difficult road game for UWM... detroit is overrated.
Look for UWM and UIC to be the top teams in the league this year... good riddance to detroit and their trashy players.

Detroit is 0-3. I agree that UIC is a good team. Beating St. Louis on the road is a major accomplishment for any program.

Detroit is notorious for starting off bad. However, they always seem to bounce back in conference play. If they don't, though, I would probably put WSU at third place. Unfortunately, there aren't very many consistent programs in the HL this year.
Nevertheless, it's only 2 weeks into the season... I remember last year butler won like 7 straight games but then dropped 7 out of the next 9. Crazy stuff happens in soccer.

OK, so IPFW and Lipscomb aren't tough, but those are about the only creampuffs on our schedule, with the exception of UIC, of course (I'm kidding, Big D).
