Unlike the womens team, the mens soccer team got off to a rocky start last weekend, but this weekend will be a good opportunity to get the record back up to .500 Anyone who can make it should make it out to engelmann friday night and sunday. uwmpanthers.cstv.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/082806aab.html

UWM won 3-0 tonight against IPFW. No box score yet, but UWM absolutely dominated the game throughout. Troy Spielmann, Steve Sperl, and Dan Horst all had goals.
Overall the guys looked pretty solid, except for a few lapses on defense that could have been costly.
UWM plays Lipscomb on sunday... Wisconsin beat them 1-0 tonight.

Assuming I get off work early enough, I'll be there sunday.
Lipscomb will definitely be tougher, but UWM should be able to get back to .500 come sunday.

Saw that last nights crowd was the 9th largest in the history of the program. Thats pretty good considering the team. I would be shocked if they did not set the record this year against MU. I know I plan at being at that game.

Damn I wish I could be at this years UWM-MU match to see us increase our domination over the Gold to 25-7-2 all-time, and hand that turncoat Bennett a humbling loss to make sure he doesn't forget what he left, and where he's at now, program-wise. The usual rivalry atmosphere, combined with the lights letting it be at night game for the first time ever, should be a spectacular soccer atmosphere at Engelmann! And as a side note, unlike the basketball series that soccer record vs MU is ALL D-I, as our soccer program has been D-I since its inception in 1973. (Our D-I record vs MU in bball is 6-0 for the record)

SRT, just know that Justin, MWU, and myself will be louder and wilder to make up for you.

Good luck, ask Justin how loud I can be when I'm cheering, I'm hoarse after every basketball game! ;D I appreciate the thought, actually please start an "Ole" chant for me and get everybody jumping up and down after our first goal. Ahh memories of whooping Marquette and Madison, that cheers me up real good early in teh morning!

If the Klotsche Krazies had a hall-of-fame, SRT's performance in the Green Bay v.s. Butler Horizon League semi-final would certainly assure him a seat.
