I also agree on how annoying the bandwagon fans are. I've been to almost every game and it's really obnoxious to get pushed out of the way by people who have never even been to a game before. I generally stand on the side of the student section where the players sit. At these games where there are a lot of bandwagon fans, I feel like I'm the only one around me doing any of the cheers. I try to cheer loud to get them going, but it just doesn't work. While we may not like the bandwagon fans, I think we need to work hard to get everyone in the crowd going.

svk....you will have a little more help today. since back in 2003 when we won the tourney me, n8 and rondiaz were all sitting on the player side of the student section. we are gonna try our hardest to get over there again tonight. i cant wait for the game. im getting nothing acomplished at work today. haveing hardcore fans on both sides of the student section helps alot. it would be best to have the front 2 rows all the way across with board members and their friends, but espn will cause thatn to be impossible. we'll just deal with it and be loud....
by the way. all of us are responsible for starting another cheer, or just yelling as loud as possible if anyone starts the "f*** detroit" or any other cheer that shouldnt be cheered. dont tell them to shut up, just start yelling or cheering something else. if we are louder than them no one can hear their stupidity

You CAN get into Goolsby's before the game, you don't have to be 21 to get in there, only to order drinks. So show up if you've got time, it's an awesome pregame! And boy those girls WERE annoying, after they cut in front, they called their friends on the phone!!! and had them come down to the front rows to join them! I was the guy in the white baseball cap in the front row they were jumping all over (literally) in the second half. I just wanted to wind up and B*tch slap all of 'em! Then I realized I didn't mind their breasts all over me, even if they were yelling Mark Pancratz's name. ;D -Jason Bandwagon fans+talking on cell phones in the front row=lifetime bannings (in a dream world). There is noting worse, even if they are hot (though that makes it more bearable). Because of certain things I have to do, I've never been able to attend a game as a fan before in my 3 years here, although I have been at every game possible. I think next year I'll finally be able to be in the student section, though. Aside from not being completely ignorant of anything relating to the team or the sport of basketball, and not starting "f*** (other school)" chants, what's considered okay/not okay for student section behavior? I gotta know this stuff.

Cant wait to have you this year and all of next year Beast Rules for Student Section: 1. Limit Profanity 2. Creativity is a must (lack of is the downfall of must student sections...cough cough Loyola) 3. Have Fun. 4. Yell constantly and make others around you do the same. 5. dont be a dumbass...Drunk is not an excuse. probably more but those are good starters. see everyone tonight - BruceismyHomeboy

I'll add a few that are probably obvious: 1. Don't cheer when players get hurt. 2. Nothing about anyone's mother, or sister, if you know what I mean. (exception: I think you can tell the officials that their mother is disappointed in them) 3. No puking 4. No men in women's lingerie.

its ok to talk about a players mother or sister if its a fact. like if she told you last night while you were peeing on her face. then just Yell, "your momma told me __________" then have the person next to you yell either, "Its true i was there" "its true she whispered it in my ear last night" or anythign like that. but only yell it if its true

Thanks for the etiquette lesson, guys. Maybe towards the end of the game I'll run over to the student section. If I do, I'll be the one in the suit and tie acting crazy (NOT Michael Poll!).
