Well, we're playing the one team that beat us on our home floor this year. I really think though that we are going to come out focused and ready. Wish we were playing GB. I see Detroit as I saw uic last year, a dangerous hot team. However, I think we will win it, and go dancing. Funny note: after we won, the detroit players walked by the student section as they were leaving and a bunch of UWM fans were saying "see you on tuesday" and they were getting really pissed. They were talking sh*t back and really swearing up a storm. That team is a bunch of thugs just like UIC last year. I hope we kick their ass.

Students, get in there early on Tuesday and set the tempo before the game begins.
Saturday's attendance was 8,653...I expect more on Tuesday. If the student section tickets sell out early, which I am sure they will, buy general seating and still come to the game.
Signs are allowed at H.L. Tourny games, so be sure to bring your ESPN signs.
This is it...one game away...

MilwFan - Please don't make the mistake in thinking our team is full of thugs. It is absolutely ridiculous to suggest such a thing and even worse to compare the team to UIC (a team whose parents of players fight each other in the stands). I'm sure all the UWM fans at the game (11pm on a Sat night after a UWM win) were behaving like absolute saints and truly passing along well wishes ('see you on tuesday'?) to the UDM players as they walked by. I bet they even offered to buy the Titans dinner that night, they are just that nice of fans.
C'mon don't resort to message board lies and don't be so ignorant. I'm sure the real story was MUCH different then how you portrayed. The team has always been very full of class, its something that Perry prides himself upon as he routinely passes on bringing in troubled people to the team.
Anyhow, to all other UWM fans- Should be a great game on tuesday night and no matter what the outcome I know the winner will represent the HL well in the dance. Good luck, Go Titans.

to tell you the truth. i have a very postive exhange between a detroit player during the game. he was sitting in jeans and really excited. I asked him if he was a red shirt. he replied transfere, and i asked from where. he said marquette. i said i liked him. and then my buddy said, tom crean sucked and he gave us the thumbs up.
and i wouldnt call us ignorant. one of your male cheerleaders yelled at us citing that "dont mess with detroit or we will run all over you like we did to ron artest." anyways you tell those male cheer leaders they can narc to the cops all they want but they aint getting nothing but their pom poms.
should be a really great game. one of the great defensives of the hl versus that great offensives of the HL.

not that anyone would really care. the impression i got from bell and his team is very postive. i think he will do major damage next year. the coaches kept on asking him what he saw, asking "how is the defence changing"
nice to know the coaches ask for help from their players.

As for our cheerleaders, they do a great job with all their cheering and acrobatic endevours, but I'd have to say that comment was pretty stupid. Ron Artest is a fool, he ran himself out of the league more than Detroit running him out of town. Those were foolish comments made by an uninformed cheerleader. I respect UWM and know that they are a very good team with lots of athleticism and good shooting. It will be one heck of a game seeing DIV-1's 17th ranked defense take on a very good offense. Should be a great game, Go Titans!

i dont really care about the cheer leaders. they are just so easy to make fun of. which, according the Milwaukee County police i shouldnt do. and they are right, this isnt "Bring it On" this is basketball.
anyways, im going to do some long long game preview analysis tonight. so put on some coffee cuz it will prolly be really really long.

Can i ask what is so wrong with saying "see you tuesday" to the Detroit players? I was hanging over the rail and basically showing my excitement for the upcoming game when they walked by. One player even gave me a high five. Alot of us are impressed with Detroit's season, I mean, they are the only team to beat us at home.
Take in mind though that even if some of our students were dissing UDM players, it's probably because their assistant coach yelled obscenities at us as they locked up the game with GB. Not only that, but the altercation with the male cheerleader and the constant enticing by the Detroit bench towards our section during their game was obnoxious. Great season UDM, but don't expect things to be all rosey this week.

i was on my way to work today and saw the titans downtown today getting off their bus. (personally i wouldnt have known but the bus said detroit titans on the charter sign) and i was walking by them and said something like "good game against gb, we'll see you tueday and they wernt pissed at all. they were just like "yeah, good luck" (and yeah i was one of the students saying it on tuesday too) and i didnt hear any negativity from them either. i dont know but im more excited to see us get revenge on Detroit than against gb. its gonna be a good game on tues but it'll be a panther win of course

MilwFan - Please don't make the mistake in thinking our team is full of thugs. It is absolutely ridiculous to suggest such a thing and even worse to compare the team to UIC (a team whose parents of players fight each other in the stands). So, I'd like to know why you think UIC is full of a bunch of thugs? Please humor me. Is it because we decided to give McGee a second chance or because there was an argument (not a fist fight) in the stands between emotional families? Is this all you're basing it on? Or is it our scrappy, physical play that you don't like? Sorry, we all can't be like Detroit and play the most boring basketball in the conference.... Good luck to both teams in the finals....in my opinion, there's no way UWM loses two games at home to Detroit this year.

He's not lying, that was my cousin and I on the floor/walkway next to the student section saying "See you on Tuesday" with a smile to the UDM players as they walked out, and several responded with verbal insults AND PROFANITIES. I'm sorry you don't like hearing the truth in this case, but please don't call someone a lier when you really don't know what you're talking about. Thanks, Jason

Well I happen to think you are a liar, but ya know, I don't know you. What I do know is that Milwaukee student fans were hurling comments at the Titan Cheerleaders and particuarly the Mascot. How pathetic and embarresing for you that ought to be. It might not have required the police to come over, but then again, it didnt sound like comments from UWM staff were getting through to you. If any profanties came out on Saturday it certainlty would have been provoked by some over the top comments. Yes I did here some as I was sitting behind the Detroit bench. As far as the "see you tuesday" comments, be careul what you wished for.
