"Brewers got right-handed pitcher Dave Bush, who will bolster the starting rotation, outfielder Gabe Gross and left-handed pitching prospect Zach Jackson."
For those of you who follow baseball seriously....... This trade is amazing. Zach Jackson is a stud. 22 years old, 6'5" 230 pounds. Low 90's fastball, slider, awesome circle change. Oh and did I mention he's left handed?
GO BREWERS!

and the 32nd overall pick in 2004. Gross looks good too. He might be down in AAA for a year but he has some talent. Jackson is the clear deal-maker for the Crew. I don't understand how he can be 6-5 and throw a low 90's fastball but he is highly-regarded and a quick study. The Jays have some of the best AAA pitchers around and we plucked a good one from them. Can you believe we got a top-notch prospect pitcher, a young pitcher who can start right now, and a decent outfield prospect for Overbay? After the contract Ryan got and this trade, I have a hard time believing the Jays resigned Riccardi to a long-term deal. He is terrible.

I could never have imagined that the Sexson trade would give us 3 starters (Capuano, Bush and Ohka) in the 06 rotation.

A little off-topic, but I ran across this on Google ... some guy concepted new Brewers uniforms if they were to bring back the old logo with the current color scheme. Even has the ultimate throwback with the Barrelman. www.geocities.com/hatcityconcepts/brewers_concept.gifI love them!

I think Doug Melvin has officially reached "Ron Wolf Status". I now believe that he can do no wrong.
Everything he touches turns to gold.

Hack exactly the type of compromise I was looking for in the new uniforms. Perhaps the Retro Sundays are just a trial balloon for more wholesale changes in the coming years. By the way, why would anyone do business with Melvin after the Sexson deal? This is brilliant baseball man.
