UT's Hendrix arrested in Georgia Posted: August 24, 2005 Associated Press COVINGTON, Ga. -- Tennessee forward Jemere Hendrix was charged with marijuana possession and driving without a license earlier this month in Georgia. Hendrix was arrested Aug. 13 for possession of marijuana and driving a motor vehicle without a license, according to Newton County Sheriff's records. He was booked into the jail just before midnight and released shortly thereafter on $1,780 bond. "We are aware of the situation involving Jemere Hendrix," coach Bruce Pearl said in a statement Wednesday. "As the facts present themselves and as the legal process unfolds we will make a determination as to how it will affect Jemere's status on the men's basketball team. "At this time," he said, "we are dealing with discipline internally." Hendrix, a senior, walked on at Tennessee after leaving Clemson with a foot injury in 2002. Last season, he played in 28 games, starting three. www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=11170
