The best act at Summerfest plays tonight at 10pm at the Mid Gate Stage. Cowboy Mouth. There is no one even close. If you haven't seen them, or even heard of them before, I strongly recommend that you go. This is hands down the best live band EVER!! I had never heard them before I saw them live, and I tell you: I am hooked! www.cowboymouth.com

Reel Big Fish has always been my favorite at Summerfest. Never a bad show.

Britney's not on tour. Nor are BSB, Neil Diamond, Lifehouse, Avril, O-Town, Jay-Z. Hence Summerfest is a Bust.
Weezer seemed like they'd be the best band there but reviews of their concert were extremely negative.
Lou-Cowboy mouth's not bad. Their name is enough in itself I suppose

Styx ... even without Dennis DeYoung. Probably the best act I've seen at Summerfest in the past few years.
If you are to include non-music acts, how can you not go with comedian Lewis Black? Man ... that is one bitter guy. So much rage and it all gets emphasized with his pointing finger.

Best guitar player at summerfest.
1. Kenny Wayne Shepard
Best Rock act you could see
2.Black Crowes/Tom Petty show if you couldn't get tickets then its Kenny Wayne Shepard
Band that did not play at Marcus and most likely to be in the rock n roll hall a fame.
3. Kenny Wayne Shepard Robert Randolf and the family band
Best Cover song played
4. 25 minute version of voo doo child performed by Kenny Wayne Shepard
Good High Lights and Not so Good High Lights
-Ben Folds has a band now but their not the Five. -David Lee Roth Cut his hair -Lewis Black is the funniest comic Ive ever seen. (dead presidents!) -Pat McCurdy needs a new set of songs -Living Color will be at the Mt Dew Rock Stage! -Moby calling summerfest a "county festival" then being booed. MOBY! its the words longest music festival which accumulates more people than any other music festival. Just bc we serve food doesn't mean we have the largest pig competition. -Rusted Root did not look like total hippies but their crowd did, but they were most likely one of the most polished bands Ive ever seen -too many cover bands! -favorite foods: foods that had "on a stick" or "bucket-o-blank" for instance: gator on a stick -bands from out of town calling our state WESconsin. Its WISconsin. I's don't make E's.

Just checking ... do you like Kenny Wayne Shepard? kenny who? jk, yeah i truly believe there isnt a fairly new rock band that plays a quarter as good as kws plays. the only person that is in the same level as him is jimmy page and eric clapton. jimmy hendrix was better but hes dead. People say rock is dead and full of songs about girls and how they are cute. but they havnt heard kenny.

this was a down year in quantity of quality acts, but there are other good bands beside Kenny Wayne Shepard. dont get me wrong, he plays a mean guitar, but there are other things some may really enjoy. for instance: *Cardboard Vampyres (featuring Jerry Cantrell) playing Alice In Chains songs, Gin Blossoms, and Collective Soul for those into 90's rock. *Story of the Year, Coheed and Cambria, and Death Cab For Cutie for those into emo/punk bands. *OAR, String Cheese Incident, and Rusted Root for you hippies. *Cowboy Mouth, Violent Femmes, and various 80's hair bands for the older crowd. *Chevelle, Shinedown, and Seether for the modern rockers. plus tons of other bands and singers for those I didnt have time pigeon-hole into a group.

*OAR, String Cheese Incident, and Rusted Root for you hippies. OAR is not a hippie band, more of a DMB offspring than anything else.

Lewis Black was on for a whopping total of 45 minutes. He did his HBO act which could have been seen on TV one night later.
Don't get me wrong, he's hilarious. But I dunno about $12 admission, $4 beer hilarious.

OAR is not a hippie band, more of a DMB offspring than anything else. I consider DMB a hippie band too. not the "tree-hugging 60's/70's" hippies, but the "jam-session trendy 90's/00's" hippies. and I dont mind some DMB and OAR. I aint a hater.
