Although, I sure hope it is a fluke that this team insists on taking every open 3 they see, if they aren't hitting them on an average clip. Especially when they can convert so easily down low.
Ya gotta be smart, and play to win, instead of to "get buckets" aka being selfish.
Cliff notes: all winning teams play to their strengths, not their weaknesses, and recognizes what is working in any given game.

Great, expected showing... But obviously hard to gauge anything from it.

I cannot remember the last time we scored 120!! (Judson in 2015?)
Great showing against a horrible opponent.
Can't wait to see how we fare vs. the other Panthers...

But insanely miles better than any Jeter showings against non-D1s lol I remember nailbiters against D3 teams under PBS. Didn’t we beat MSOE by something like 5 points in one of the (very) few games PBJ actually played? And then, of course, there was the embarrassment of embarrassments against Concordia St. Paul. The team did seem to turn it up a bit in the second half, and it got really out of hand when Lakeland emptied their bench and Milwaukee kept rotational players in. You can’t learn too much from a game against a D3 opponent, but that Stout game last year should have set off some alarms.

I sure hope that Danilo is either ill or (not badly) injured. Scott Warras mentioned Danilo in the injury report. Danilo has an injury but they are waiting for the results of some test(s) before they know what the timeline will be.

In short, we passed the eye test. Lakeland didn't.

They mentioned at one point on the broadcast that it was the second time, I believe, that we scored 118. I think they mentioned the first time, but I don't remember who it was against.

UWM basketball wins by nearly 60 in season opener as an unexpected breakout player emerges Curt Hogg Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
UWM coach Bart Lundy, shown on the sideline last season, was able to mix up his lineup Monday with the starters only playing together for a few minutes at the start of each half. UW-Milwaukeee tipped off its season with, as anticipated, a blowout victory over the Lakeland Muskies, cruising to a 118-62 final score on the heels of a massive second half.
The Panthers recorded the second-most points in a game in franchise history, trailing only the 125 scored against Judson on December 13, 2015.
Here’s what we learned from a game that was, by all accounts, a total mismatch.
Jamichael Stillwell was the player of the game It didn’t take long for Jamichael Stillwell to make his presence felt and showcase why he might be the most underrated newcomer.
The 6-foot-8 forward from Atlanta by way of Butler Community College scored 18 points, shot 8 for 12 from the field and grabbed 14 rebounds in under 20 minutes. In the first half alone he nearly posted a near double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Stillwell immediately secured the double-double after coming onto the floor in the second half, snagging an offensive rebound in traffic and hitting a spinning layup through contact.
"Really, that how I believe I play," the physical Stillwell said. "I want to come out as a 'dawg.' The more aggressive I am when I come out, you kind of scare them up."
Lundy clearly liked what he saw from Stillwell from the jump, playing him nearly 13 minutes in the first half, trailing only guards Themus Fulks and AJ McKee for Milwaukee.
"It's what we see every day," Lundy said. "He's physical inside with the ball. He can guard one through five, and then he's really good on the glass. We've seen him do it against bigger guys. With smaller guys, he's pretty hard to handle."
Stillwell came to the Panthers without a NCAA Division I pedigree but with a reputation for crashing the boards. He averaged 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 27 games last season and recorded a dozen double-doubles.
Panthers can (and will) mix and match Due to the depth of his team, Lundy had a variety of starting options to mull for the opener. Ultimately, Lundy landed on a small-ball lineup of guards Fulks, McKee, Kentrell Pullian and Erik Pratt alongside forward Faizon Fields. Pratt, at 6-foot-5, was the second-tallest player on the floor for the Panthers.
Within three minutes, Lundy went to his bench, bringing in Stillwell and forward Darius Duffy.
Expect a revolving door of rotations, especially early in the season. The Panthers plan to utilize their depth to test out different combinations; the starting five, for example, only shared the court together for a couple minutes at the beginning of both halves. Lundy went 10 players deep in the first half, with each contributing to the scoring.
"I had a good idea," Lundy said of his lineups coming into the game. "This was self-imposed tonight. We've got an idea."
How did the other newcomers look? In short? Pretty good.
McKee, the marquee transfer in this year’s class for Milwaukee, had 14 points and eight assists. McKee took his time to get involved in the flow as a scorer, logging four assists in the first half and not getting on the scoreboard until a basket to push Milwaukee’s lead to 32-22.
The Queens transfer had an impact defensively, as well, finishing with three steals and a block. McKee may be tasked with defending oversized guards in the Horizon League but has the athleticism to make up for it.
Fulks, who transferred in from Louisiana Lafeyette, had a strong first half on his way to logging 11 points and seven assists.
Youngstown State transfer and Brown Deer graduate John Lovelace Jr. finished with six points and four rebounds.

I realize that it was only a bad D-3 school, but Jamichael looks like a serious player.

No idea and I asked around and didn't get any answers. Im guessing he is sick. I was told he was sick. Assuming it's something mild, that's good news. Furthermore, everyone remember that he's the 12th man.
