Mark your calendars for the inaugural "Black and Gold Hour" on Thursday, October 10 from 5:30 to 7pm at the Milwaukee Athletic Club. Join Milwaukee Panthers Men's Basketball Head Coach, Bart Lundy, men's basketball student-athletes, Kentrell Pullian and Faizon Fields, and members of the MKE Athletics Department for this special, exclusive inside look at the men's basketball program. In his first two seasons in Milwaukee, Coach Lundy has two 20+ win seasons (a first since 2006), came 90 seconds away from an NCAA tournament bid, and he has changed the culture of not only the team but what UWM means to the City of Milwaukee. The evening will provide a preview of the upcoming season, and Lundy will talk about how the staff has built the program to success in a short time. Tickets for this special event are priced at $30 and proceeds benefit the Panther Future Fund, the official collective of Milwaukee Men's Basketball to support name, image, and likeness initiatives for student-athletes. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served beginning at 5:30 pm, and the program will begin at approximately 6:00 pm with a Q&A session to follow.

I am going and I highly recommend anyone who is able to go makes it a point to get out for this, and if you know any sports fan alumni who haven't yet hopped on the bandwagon, offer to pop for their ticket if you're able.

I RSVPd for this event but never received any communication regarding any of it. Also, never got the ability to pay the $30/person donation. Anyone else have this issue or know what I need to do?

Joah Tucker put on an excellent event tonight!
Scott Warras did a fantastic job hosting. Topics were summer things you did away from basketball. High school recruiting rankings. City of Milwaukee. Boot Camp. Rivalry with Green Bay. Team culture. Lost to Oakland in HL title game. How the players have grown as young men.
The new provost was in attendance. I believe he went to the final day of boot camp and bought into the team. He is now on board as a season ticket holder.
Many faces in the room I've never seen before. According to Amanda Braun, those are people they are trying to get on board for tickets.

I've said this a couple times. This is the happiest and most content Bart has been with the roster since he got here. He's always been transparent and honest and it's been nothing but positives this offseason.
After listening to Faizon and KP, not making the NCAA Tournament will be a HUGE disappointment for them. They are ready to lead by example on and off the floor.
Faizon said it clicked for him last season when he had a 21 and 16 game. He realized after that game that it was "actually easy" for him. Getting him in the right head space before the game is the big key to him.
Boot camp is insane. Can't believe McKee has done 6 of them over his career.
There were good questions from the crowd. A good question about advice to an AAU coach, a great question from a Panthers alumni who said the guys and their work in the community are the reason she attended last night and the usual questions about MU, WI, GB,etc.
KP is the man. Love him. Only player to be here all 3 years under Lundy. The heart and soul.
Overall, great night. Well worth the donation and time. Events like this make the program feel relevant for the first time in a long time. Can't wait for Nov. 4th.

Also, sounds like our guy and board moderator PantherLou financially backed the food and drink for the event. I didnt see him there though.

It's long been time for everyone to drop the disagreements of the past and come back together. We are on the precipice of an incredible season - one with higher potential than any in our history - and everyone needs to be back in the fold to see it happen.
