Last year everyone acted like Lundy was the greatest thing since Bruce Pearl. Now he’s on PBS level. That’s a fair evaluation. Can you really blame us though? We were sold another paper tiger by Amanda Braun but now know it. We wanted him to be the guy so bad that we probably gave him too much praise too early. Over the last 9 months or so he has made some extremely questionable personnel decisions whether it be recruiting or dismissals of players. He deserves the hot seat, and his chair is only getting hotter with these kinds of decisions. I think some of it falls on the players too. Yeah he dismissed JT, and we lost Rand and Johnson from last year… but I feel like last years team was so successful cause there was no expectations. This year they came in acting like they were the best team in the horizon and got punched in the mouth in non con and never recovered.

For the people who complain about MBs ball handling and lack of playmaking which is a fair assessment… who else should do it? Lundy didn’t recruit enough guards plus Spencer injury and then BJ gets hurt. browning is asked to play a role that he isn’t made for. Blame that on the coaching

He loved Milwaukee! He’d still be here! But nooooo he doesn’t fit Bart’s play style…

We need point guardS. We shouldn’t be one injury away from starting Browning at PG. Having said that, I still feel like Browning was particularly bad because he tries to do too much. Now, we’re down to EJ and… Pratt? Howell maybe?

Please don’t try and act like this is the first offense he’s committed.

Holy smokes! Where did the time go? We're three days removed from the 16-year anniversary of Torre Johnson's arrest! The coaches and players salvaged that season after a 3-9 start to finish 14-16. Let's see if these guys can do the same! Precisely my thoughts. Keep the players who want to win as a team in the game. Keep the others on the bench. And keep the players who deserve to be kicked off the team off the team. Hopefully Markeith learns from this and can be better in future years (Avery Smith comes to mind).

BJ Freeman is seemingly distraught on social media after the Markeith news…. Where do you think he’ll be at next season? Florida? Maybe Mizzou with Dennis Gates?

I guess I dont know how questionable the dismissals are since we don't know everything that goes on behind doors. As for cleaning out PBS players, he also dismissed JT who was probably his favorite player he recruited. Obviously this ruffled the feathers of the guys tight with Markeith and I understand that, but you have to sometimes move on from the people who dont want what's best for the team (I have no info if this is true with Keith or not). In the end, I hope Markeith is all good as he was nothing but great to me in my interactions with him. Time for this team to move forward. I'm not sure this makes us much worse than we have shown. Time for players to step up.

A few thoughts ...
1, As a Panthers fan of the last 35 years, let's all take a deep breath. We've been this way many times before.
2, As FTA said, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors (and as a Panthers fan of the last several years, I can say with certainty that the program does everything within its power to keep us from knowing anything).
3, Organizations show rot from the top down. Problems in this program percolate above Lundy's level. Is he doing a good job with what he's got? Not this year, but the long-term answer is impossible to provide. It's a needs-more-informatiom situation.

Sometimes good leaders make tough, unpopular decisions that are for the best in the long run. I am willing to see how this all shakes out.
Lundy recently talked about the team in two groups, the returning players and the newcomers. It will be interesting to see if this move is a one-off or just the first domino to fall.

Clearly Lundy is limited in what he can say or do. In the six minute mark of the Longwood post game press conference, he discussed Howell's injury. He looked at someone off camera and pondered out loud if he said too much or could say more. One wonders just how much his hands are similarly tied when it comes to scheduling, recruiting and anything else.

Sad to see MB go. I’d like to give coach the benefit of the doubt given I don’t believe he has a track record of being a dictator and throwing kids off the team. Agreed, let’s see how this plays out.
Most of us, if not all of us, can only speculate. If MB was constantly b****ing, that can spread to the rest of the team. Not saying this was the case, but I’m guessing he didn’t get kicked for punting the ball one time in practice.
