Some notes for this season:
- 22 wins ties Bart Lundy for the most by a first-year Panther coach in school history, and unlike Coach Jeter he did not inherit the nucleus of a Sweet 16 team.
- It's also tied for 4th in our Division I history for victories in a season.
- The 22-11 (.647) record just beats out our first NIT team in 2003-04 for winning percentage (20-11, .645).
- Ahmad Rand's 72 blocks obliterates J.J. Panoske's record of 54 set in 2015-16.
- B.J. Freeman's 581 points is now the fourth-highest in our Division I history, behind only Von McDade (830 in 1990-91), Shannon Smith (661 in 1994-95), and Dylan Page (647 in 2003-04).
- His 101 turnovers are the 7th to reach 100, and 2nd-most for a non-point guard after Von McDade.
- The CBI appearance is our 8th postseason appearance all-time, and the first round victory is our 5th postseason win all-time.

The biggest accomplishment is that people are actively talking about the Panthers and the team received great coverage from the JS and from the local media. Without Bart and the on court play by the guys, none of that happens. Hopefully all of this continues and it makes Joe and the Athletic Department's job easier selling season tickets.

It is so awesome. Finally, something for us Panther fans to look forward to each college basketball season. I'm confident, inept-prone AD and all, we will sustain this success and start to reach our potential (being a consistent 20+ win per season winner). GO PANTHERS. And thank you to everyone on the team and staff. But also to all you... nice folks. I have no social media other than Twitter for promoting the Panthers. uwmfreak.com is my social media (and you all, down to the ones who I annoy the most-- are among my closest friends)

One word to describe what you are referring to is RELEVANCE. A hater or two on this board will get on me for this, but my appreciation extends to others who made the good feeling about this past year possible. Kudos to those who were responsible for the immediate opening of the coaching position after last season, targeting Bart even before that, and the timely hiring. The staff did a good job helping Bart create opportunities to promote the program. Also, the administration got out of the way to let Bart succeed. Letting Bart move the HLT quarterfinal game to the Klotsche Center is a good example of that. I am appreciative of the fans as well. The quantity is not yet what we want it to be, but the passion within the base has been re-established. The program still has a long, long way to go on the relevance scale. Things that we often discuss - better non-conference scheduling, having the band and spirit squads at more (all?) home games, getting exposure through televising games over the air, etc. would help expedite. Nevertheless, we are headed in the right direction.

Also only the 5th 20-win regular season in program history, the first since 05-06.

I am not as into the 20 regular season or 22 overall wins because by touting those numbers, it seems like we are enabling the scheduling of three DIII/NAIA games. In doing so, are we encouraging similar scheduling in the future?
I am thrilled with 19 wins against DI competition. Too bad the URI game was cancelled. That could have resulted in 20 overall DI wins.

Whoa, Cactus! We've got Cardinal Stritch, Carroll, Concordia, Allen Bradley and the YMCA Blues on next year's schedule! We'll win at least 24 games FOR SURE!!!
