Washington State (17-16) just got bounced by Oregon in the Pac-12 quarters, so it looks like they're in play for the CBI.

I’m proud to say I found a way to make it happen. I’ll be attending the CBI to see our boys play one last time this season! I hope the Panthers will be there so you can see them play. Except for Bart's comment in the post game press conference, they have not officially announced (only one team, Southern Indiana, has so far). Cleveland State has since been rumored to be going. I would be surprised if two HL teams make the 16 team field. Also, would Vincent have entered the portal so early if there was one more game left? When Bart stated the Panthers accepted a CBI bid, he looked at someone in the room to see if it was OK to talk about it. Look closely at the video at 5:04 www.youtube.com/watch?v=XREtbP-0f3o&ab_channel=MilwaukeePanthers I hope everyone has been on the same page.

230 in NET...so far the 2 officially announced teams are below us. CSU would be above us in NET if they are in.

I would sure LOVE to see an OFFICIAL announcement of our intended CBI participation, not one squeezed into the back end of a game story. I've just grown so distrustful of our program. Sorry, but I'm very transparent about my feelings.

Also, Southern Indiana has accepted a bid. They finished 13-16 and 257th in NET. Interesting The 13-16 record was against DI competition. They were 16-16 overall. This excerpt from an article in the Louisville Courier and Press explains how they got invited to the CBI: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's for teams that are not selected (or eligible, in this case) for the NCAA tournament or the NIT that are also willing to pay a $27,500 entry fee to participate. The CBI is operated by The Gazelle Group, which runs a handful of basketball events: the Barstool Sports Invitational, Empire Classic, Gotham Classic, Legends Classic and Tribute Classic. USI received $135,000 for participating in the Gotham Classic against Notre Dame, St. Bonaventure and Bowling Green. That tournament also guaranteed a CBI invitation for finishing with a record of .500 or better."That was a reason (to play in the Gotham Classic)," Gouard said. "We played Notre Dame, Saint Bonaventure and Bowling Green, so those opportunities are hard to pass up on, especially your first year at this level. That enhanced our opportunity to play." USI (16-16) finished seventh in the OVC and lost in the first round of the conference tournament last Wednesday at Ford Center. The OVC ranked 29 out of 32 conferences this season, according to KenPom’s advanced metrics.

If we truly weren’t going, they’d know by now. Markeith confirmed that we are going
