We have a knack for having something go our way and then giving it back. We started the game with an “And 1” only to give them one right back. Then we have an 11-0 run and moments later give them a 16-0 run right back.
It’s not the first time this year stuff like that has happened.

BJ Freeman has been ice cold since the Mercy game. And the Panthers haven’t had someone to replace his production other than VBJ against Oakland. Missing Markeith is bad enough… missing Markeith and BJ is even tougher.

Team has completely lost its inspiration it had about a month ago. The effort just isn’t there again

Seriously, what has happened to BJ Freeman? Guy was our playmaker most of the season and has completely fallen off lately.

First time he’s had to adjust to a HEAVY emphasis on him defensively at this level. I’m just surprised the coaching staff hasn’t told him to pass it more quickly when he gets doubled.

Clearly Markeith is what we are missing and you seem to think even having him out there and not being 100% effective won’t help. You are putting words in my mouth.

Seriously, what has happened to BJ Freeman? Guy was our playmaker most of the season and has completely fallen off lately. Lots of reasons. Good scouting by opponents. Double team defense against him. Make him put it on the floor and he may turn it over. Trying to do too much in Markieth's absence. Fatigue and loss of confidence has adversely affected his jump shots and free throws. Hasn't made the necessary adjustments.

You are putting words in my mouth. Markeith’s a part of it, but the teams last complete game was 4 weeks ago. Markeith played in most of the games since then. At some point, we may have to realize the Panthers are the Minnesota Vikings of the Horizon League this year. They sneak out a lot of close wins, but when they lose, they lose bad. And because of that, they’re not as good as their record.

Its time for some Bart magic talk at halftime While he’s already accomplished more than his predecessor, it sure seems that we may have overrated Lundy in his first year. I’m not saying he isn’t doing a good job, and I’m not saying he couldn’t be great in the next few years, but the “In Lundy We Trust” tshirts may have been a bit premature.

We've now given up 40+ in 6 of the last 9 halves of basketball. 50+ in two of those. We've been outshot beyond the arc in all of these games except the Detroit game, where we shot 46% while Detroit shot 40% - or we may have lost that game. "Don't need to be so negative about it." Clearly Markeith is what we are missing and you seem to think even having him out there and not being 100% effective won’t help. You are putting words in my mouth. Markeith is not what we are missing. The team was trending negatively before he went down. We were saved by a couple second half turnarounds before we lost to NCAA power Green Bay. At home. Green Bay! And Markeith was healthy! There's a big difference between being realistic and being negative. Cactus was being realistic IMO. Having sprained both my ankles so many times and severely enough that my ortho finally said, "next time you do this, we're going to have to do surgery", along with tearing my ACL, it's never quick to return to 100% in physical sports. It's as much physical and getting rid of the rust as it is psychological. For a player such as Markeith, whose athleticism is a HUGE part of why he's the player he is, it's likely going to be a while until he's the Markeith we've known. Lock down defenders fight through screens, stop on a dime to not get burned by crossovers, etc. Markeith is fantastic at driving and creating his own shot (at least in man-to-man) That's all hell on a tender ankle.
