How about a slogan/motto like "The Milwaukee Panthers. Our Team. Our Town!?"

Bucks used that years ago. Gotta be something better.
"Milwaukee Panthers. This is our city."

Now if we could just get people to call us Milwaukee...I saw multiple news people saying different versions of UWM, UW Milwaukee, etc. I know that is beating a dead horse, so I won't harp on it more. No, this is important. It's time we make a concerted effort. I'm tired of shouting at a brick wall. There has to be a way for us to get through and convince the people who can make this move. This is the single best thing we can do for the program off the court. We NEED a solution. The activity on Twitter about the team hasn’t been higher. The crowds will begin to catch up to this excitement. Because @pantheru has been locked down (someone get me Elon's cell # so I can ask him for help and a seat on a Dragon crew shuttle), I've been using @ JimmyLemke for a couple years now and most of my follows are Bucks fans and people who haven't had a lot to do with the program. My timeline has Panther stuff on it all the time now. I'm telling Bucks fans to get on board. We all need to sell this program. Bring your friends, co-workers, the guy who you say hi to when you take your dog out to sh*t, everyone. My best man hadn't been to a game since 2007 before last night and he said he had a blast. I'm going to try and drag all my buddies to home games this year and then give them the hard sell for buying group season tickets next fall.

Larivee is a legend, period. he called Micheal Jordan games with the Bulls and Favre and Rodgers for the Packers. larivee calling games for us would be if Vin Scully or Bob Uecker also called games for their local college hoops squad. it just doesnt happen.

Legend or not, it doesn't mean Larivee is good calling Panther games as currently presented. He was very good when he used to call NCAA tournament games on Westwood Radio. He worked with analysts. His call would compliment the excitement of tournament games. It is just plain awkward to have him work alone on Panther video streams. Because the audio on Panther video productions is not good, it sounds like he is doing the game from a remote studio. He is doing both play by play and analysis. It blends together and sounds monotone. Bluntly, his call of Panther games is boring. If I would not have my usual adrenaline rush every time I watch a Panther game, he would put me to sleep. That does not mean he is not a good play by play broadcaster. He is not good at what he is expected to do on Panther video streams. Scott Warras is significantly better at pulling it off. If the Panther program has a future financial commitment to Larivee, I have a suggestion. Simulcast his radio play by play on both radio and ESPN+. Team him with Scott Warras to provide color commentary. Warras is normally a play by play guy, of course, but he knows the program inside and out. This would add life to both productions without costing a dime. The way it is now is totally redundant. All of the other HL programs pair a play by play guy with an analyst. Why not us? Some of the other HL programs simulcast the radio call, as do we when Larivee has a Packer scheduling conflict. By the way, a then-fledging radio broadcaster, Bob Uecker, did call some Panther games in the 1970's. It did happen! I believe he worked with Jim Irwin and/or Mike Hegan. I recall listening to the games on WTMJ. I do not recall if it was for Panther basketball, football or both. It is not well documented. If anyone else on here recalls, please comment in this thread. I assume you would agree that just because Uecker is undeniably an all time legend, you would not want him calling Panther games these days. Would you?

Maybe. the whole season? No way. and I agree with pairing larivee with Warras. asking him to wear both hats detracts from both . Let him focus on the play by play while Warras does the color commentary, it would greatly improve the quality of the broadcast.

Everyone texting me during the game liked the broadcast, surely if Warras was doing color it would be good when they got adjusted.

For those of us who miss the radio broadcast but want all of the details about Panther basketball that we can get, it is nice to listen to at least the pre and postgame radio shows. We learn things that we cannot get anywhere else - such as Bol was sick before the NKU game and Lundy's comment that his players would like a shot at Purdue now. tunein.com/podcasts/Sports--Recreation-Podcasts/The-Roar-p1546263/

How about a slogan/motto like "The Milwaukee Panthers. Our Team. Our Town!?" I think “Panthers on the Prowl” would be awesome. That’s just my take though
