And yet Markieth wins my Defensive Player of the Game award. Anyone notice how Davis did not heat up until Markieth went to the bench? And then Davis was mostly contained when Markieth returned. Markieth's +/- was +19. No one else was close to that (Zach Howell was next at +6). Heck, I'll give my Player of the Game award to Markieth as well, despite the turnovers. He certainly was impactful.
Also, my Defensive Play of the Game award goes to Justin Thomas. He stuck to Davis like glue on that final Detroit possession, knowing Davis would take that shot no matter what.

Tough games coming up. Another split would be terrific. Liked what Vincent did off bench vs Detroit. If we can get 10 or more energized minutes from him and Zach the rotation may be set. Edwards is a defensive liability. Angelo as well but can be an asset vs less athletic teams. The same goes for Baker. Lundy wants to win with defensive pressure and offensive movement. The players that give that energy on both ends will play. Enjoyed Earl Curleton as color guy in Detroit. He seemed very keen on what Lundy is trying to do and liked the squad assembled. The other guy was a homer but so is Scott Warras. We need a color guy. Earl the Twirl! |

I have been on this soapbox for years. No need for Larivee. Get a color analyst to team with Warras and simulcast every home game. |

Joah and AT have proven they can do it well. I would love that.
Drew MacDonald is doing it this year on NKU home games. He is very good for a rookie analyst.

Don't expect him to get ANY rest as long as he's uninjured and in realistic pursuit of Pistol Pete's scoring record. I could be mistaken, but didn’t Maravich do it in 4 years? There will be a huge asterisk next to Davis’ name if he does it with a whole extra year. 3 years, if Pete had had 4 years he would have approached 5000 points. |

Sheesh! Too much conspiratorial drama for me.
FYI, HL games are on ESPN+, not ESPN3. They are both available through streaming, but ESPN+ is a standalone subscription based package while ESPN3 is linked with various cable, satellite and streaming TV packages. ESPN3 is not available through an ESPN+ subscription. I have also discovered video feature differences, like the ability to start from the beginning of an event in progress on ESPN+, which I have not been able to do on ESPN3.
