I tried to lay back in the weeds a bit and be somewhat open-minded on this, but I can't just bite my tongue. I must agree with all of you: previous moves to the K have had mostly ruinous consequences for the program and shouldn't be mentioned any more let alone considered.

The MU-UW game didn't help us in any in terms of attendance. I talked to one fan who was interested then decided he didn't want to "fight my through all that MU traffic." In terms of returning the K, I seem to remember that the last time we were there the coaching staff said it had a devastating impact on recruitment.

In terms of attendance at the KC we lost 50% of the season ticket base. That was after a HL title run. Students didn't show up either. I was surprised this right before the season that the team was practice at UWMPA handfull of times. Have not seen that in the past. Was that Coach Lundy pushing for that more, well done!
The home schedule is weird this year. It's like two seasons in one. After a non-D1 this Sunday. It's 32 days untill the next home game. Both a Thurs/Sat.against schools that are at the top of the standings most years.
The student crowd was not too bad versus IUPUI. About a 100 or so. That section would have looked filled if we have the pep band. It's just a bad look to not have the pep band at the Arena.

It kills me we can't have a band, cheerleaders and dance team at every home game.
When GCU played in the HOF Classic more than 1,000 miles away this past Thanksgiving weekend, they sent the band, cheerleaders, dance team, mascot and about 50 students! I am not saying UWM has the financial capability to do anything like that, nor should it, but it cannot at least do that for every home game? Come on!
Oh, the disparity between a private institution with a clear, consistent focus on where it is going as an athletic program, and a public one that does not.

There are 26,000 students. 100 of them taking advantage of free admission and free food is bad.

It's just the same old song and dance with most students. They don't care. They don't know their is a team. They don't want to be bothered. Got to get the coaches and players in the AMU, etc, to promote the team. Maybe that might help.

In terms of attendance at the KC we lost 50% of the season ticket base. That was after a HL title run. Students didn't show up either. For that year I downgraded my tickets to the cheapest possible plan, went for the first half of a game and didn’t return the rest of the season. I haven’t been in the KC in 5 years and there’s absolutely nothing to convince me to go back to that dump. There’s no doubt having the arena 99% empty sucks. I hate it as a fan but the alternative is significantly worse. Moving back to the KC is the ultimate sign that they no longer care about athletics.
