We are 5 and 3 ....could be 4 and 4 really 3 and 3 A guard orientated offense ... Top 6 players via minutes are guards. 6 out of 8 games leading scorer was a guard
Post play and boxing out is non existing at least what i have seen but we get the rebounds from the guards .. which is good and a stat balancer We like to play fast and it seems some times too fast ....Top 3 players via minutes average more turnovers then assists but they can shoot
My observation is Lundy recruited the guys he wanted to play his style of defense and run his offense and let go the guys he knew could not. Playing against Purdue and Iowa State , which im guessing they paid Milwaukee to show up, showed our weaknesses or just our lack of experience. St Thomas well they just wanted it more.
EMPHASIZE EXECUTION, NOT CONDITIONING
Lastly we play two Horizon bottom feeders this week one win between the both of them. 7 and 3 after 10 games Winning 70% is good in anyones book.

We are 5 and 3 ....could be 4 and 4 really 3 and 3 I, for one would be astounded if our record at this point were 3 and 3. A guard orientated offense ... Top 6 players via minutes are guards. 6 out of 8 games leading scorer was a guard That's fairly common for mid-majors and low-majors. Post play and boxing out is non existing at least what i have seen but we get the rebounds from the guards .. which is good and a stat balancer. We like to play fast and it seems sometimes too fast ....Top 3 players via minutes average more turnovers then assists but they can shoot There are a couple players I've noticed whose brains are moving faster than their bodies. Anyone with ADHD recognizes that. Maybe slowing it down will help, but I think if Coach Lundy were concerned he'd have done that already. Perhaps they're just hoping that eventually the players will be able to handle the ball better as they get up to speed? I don't know. I defer to Coach. My observation is Lundy recruited the guys he wanted to play his style of defense and run his offense and let go the guys he knew could not. Playing against Purdue and Iowa State, which I'm guessing they paid Milwaukee to show up, showed our weaknesses or just our lack of experience. St Thomas well they just wanted it more. I think you hit the nail on the head with the roster turnover. I don't think Gholston or Newby would have flourished in this offense. Joey St. Pierre would be hanging out with Vinko Polovic and the managers. You are correct in assuming Purdue and Iowa State were "buy" games. But I don't think it was really about lack of experience. For Purdue it was simply the difference in body from Horizon League to Big Ten. Even their freshman guards seemed bigger, stronger, faster and quicker than our guards. Maybe lack of experience is why we have such a b*tch of a time holding the ball, but I think it's less about experience overall and more about experience in this system. I'm hoping they'll be decent by the end of the year. EMPHASIZE EXECUTION, NOT CONDITIONING Lastly we play two Horizon bottom feeders this week one win between the both of them. 7 and 3 after 10 games. Winning 70% is good in anyone's book. What I like is that we have a decent chance of going 7-3, and there's still obviously soooo much room to grow for the team. Their defense has started clicking extremely well. I'm ready for more.
