UC Davis isn't Iowa or Purdue but it's not Cardinal Stritch either. It's a D-1 program with a winning record that earlier this year recorded its first ever win over Cal on Cal's court.

Box score is scary close in many spot. FG percentage. Turnovers and free throws.
Different today, was the Panthers finally got scoring from the guards.
What was up with the Rand jumper from above the top of the key. Yuck.
It would have been devastating if the Panthers would have lost. Need to bring the energy on Sunday.

This was on the UC Davis message board.
"#12, Kentrell Pullian wrecked us. He got 9 rebounds, 6 on the offensive glass and lead the Panthers with 20 points. He didn't even start. I have to give credit to Milwaukee. They didn't falter after starting off poorly, did not panic when they lost the lead with 9 seconds to go and matched us in almost every category, actually trailing in rebounds 31-37. Statistically, the key was that they made 10 of 16 from 3 for 62% while the Ags shot a relatively cold 7 for 23."

Shame on local and/or UWM media. Maybe everyone got too excited. I sat behind the K. Pullian family for the second half. They were delightful to watch and I was so happy to see Pullian have a great game. He and Jameson play well together and need to be on the floor. Browning is a heck of an athlete and still learning to play under control, a wonderful defender. When he learns to slow down the game he will be even more of a factor. Rand and Johnson look like a good tandem as well. Freeman and Thomas are going to be fun to watch as they grow and develop their game under Lundy’s system. The core is establishing itself. The rest are role players who can be factors against Horizon League teams. It is going to be a whacky year but fun.

UC Davis won by 2 today against SEMO, after nearly blowing a double digit late lead after SEMO missed 2 of 3 free throws with about 1 second left. Johnson didn’t do much today after 30 yesterday but Pepper had 30 today, so Coach may have been onto something with regard to Markeith’s defense.
